This restaurant was introduced by my friend and tried it a few times for dine-in. The food and services were quite nice. This week, it was my first time to return after the birth of my child. It was my first takeout (sliced beef noodles with chilli oil). I was in a rush to go home with my young baby for us to have dinner together, so I wasn't able to check what the server (May) gave to me. At home, I was excited to have my dinner in my disappointment they just served me with plain dried and hard noodles with chilli oil, no beef slice, no beef broth, just plain dried and hard noodles with oil and some onion leaks. We walked so far to drop by and ordered dinner there (if you are a mother of a young baby you know how it feels to look forward to something you are craving for dinner) and there was no way for me to return and bring my baby back to exchange for the right one, I tried to eat it but the noodles were so dried that it was sticking together when pulled out from the box, it ended up going to the bin, I paid the full amount and it wasn't cheap to receive poor quality service and foods. I was so sad, I felt I was bullied. Now it's making sense why the servers were laughing while we were leaving. That's unacceptable! Nobody deserves that! When I called them the next day to complain, the lady who answered the phone just hung up the phone to me, very rude! I hope the management of that restaurant can read this and do something. For customers please check your take-outs before leaving this place, they will ask for full payment but they might not give the right order...
Read moreOne of my favourite places to eat. The garlic beef flank noodles are so incredible. The portion sizes are very generous and if you order them as a take away or delivery then you could probably get 2-3 filling portions from just the 1. They also separate the noodles, broth and topping when you order as a takeaway so that the noodles don’t get soggy. Theybalsongiveinstructions to rinse the noodles before assembling the meal at home which I appreciated.
The pan fried dumplings are also really good. I have tried the chicken, pork and beef variations and all are brilliant in their own way so you can’t go wrong.
I have also tried the pork and black been noodles, the chicken fried noodles, the garlic sliced beef noodles in broth and the minced pork noodles in broth. They are all very delicious but the garlic beef flank noodles definitely make them pale in comparison because they are so good.
I can’t help but order the dumplings every time I get food from this place. But honestly just getting a main dish will be more than enough to fill you up.
I would post pictures but every time I order I completely forget cause I just end up...
Read moreIf you are looking for good dumplings and hand-pulled noodles in authentic northern Chinese style, go somewhere else.... The food here is sweet, and bland. We ordered vegetarian stir-fried hand-pull noodles, boiled dumplings, cucumber & mushroom salad and a marinated egg - the noodles were disappointingly soft and thin, the texture is jammy unlike hand-pull noodles at all! It's almost like flat rice noodles if you know what I mean.... The boiled dumplings were like supermarket ready frozen ones - the skin was dry, very thick and the filling felt like a dollop of starch mixture. The cucumber mushroom salad looks nice, but the taste was like dessert! so sweet that we cannot associate it with a normal cold dish in a Chinese restaurant! Finally it's the one pound marinated egg that really put me off..... the egg was so salty that it simply killed all flavour of everything we just ate.... After this meal, we need an espresso to wash the greasiness and saltiness of the meal. Very very disappointed that this self-claimed noodle and dumpling place had ruined...
