Visiting the Cotswolds, we had a great time at Piazza Fontana!
We recently had the pleasure of dining at Piazza Fontana in Cirencester, and we can definitely say it was a delightful experience from start to finish.
As soon as we stepped inside, we were greeted by the jovial staff whose friendly demeanor set the tone for the evening. Their enthusiasm was infectious, and it was clear that they genuinely enjoyed their work. The ambiance of the restaurant is both cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing dinner.
What truly stood out during our visit was the exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable evening. They were attentive without being intrusive, offering recommendations and checking in on us regularly. It felt like we were being hosted by friends rather than just served by staff, which added a personal touch to our dining experience.
The menu featured a wonderful selection of traditional Italian dishes, and everything we tried was delicious. From the perfectly baked pizzas to the rich pasta dishes, each bite was a testament to the quality of the ingredients and the skill of the chef.
Overall, our dinner at Piazza Fontana was not just a meal; it was a wonderful experience. The combination of delightful food, exceptional service, and a warm atmosphere made for a truly enjoyable evening. If you’re in Cirencester and looking for a place to dine, we highly recommend Piazza Fontana. You’ll leave with a full belly and...
Read moreThis restaurant is not the best as far as Google reviews are concerned, but we chose it because it was a balmy evening and we could sit outside. What a great choice. The place is rustic, but how Italian is that? It is clean and the waiting staff create a great and friendly ambiance. The food....oh my! We started with the bread and olives. The olives were lovely but the bread was amazing. So light and tasty and soaked up the oil and balsamic beautifully. It was a struggle to not order another! I had the Picante Pizza and my wife had the Seafood Spaghetti. The pizza was absolutely amazing. Sometimes pizzas have far too much topping and the dough is poor. This one was light with a wonderful bite and the topping was just right. One of the best pizzas I have ever tasted. The Spaghetti was perfectly cooked and brimming with seafood. All in all, a great experience and this place should rank far higher...
Read moreIf you're in Cirencester and like a wood-fired pizza please look no further than Piazza Fontana for a nice evening out. Located in the town centre down a little alley is this hidden gem. Street parking is mere metres away and, failing that, there are multiple car parks just across the road that are free from 6pm.
The food my wife and I had here was delcious. A cheesy garlic bread to share to start followed by our own choice of pizzas for our main courses and followed by crème brûlée and tiramisu for desserts.
The service was also lovely. Authentic Italian waiters full of enthusiasm who clearly liked their jobs. We also got a complimentary limoncello with the bill. The price was fair and we were certainly full when we left.
The fact that this place is located next to a Pizza Express is rather amusing; but please don't go to the corporate chain, go to this little independent...
