Brgr Lab — Restaurant in Coventry

The store is tiny and cramped, thought I would give these guys an actual chance but the owner I believe is a clown and all the positive reviews are fake as it's family and friends leaving reviews. Do not be fooled by these.

Ordered burgers and left specific instructions not to use the gherkins as there are allergies around this. Guess what happened burgers delivered late. Soggy chips and gherkins on the burgers. Rang to complain to be told just take them off. I advised that the juice from the pickles would still affect the burger.

They then said they would remake the order, advised ordered from elsewhere as we could not be bothered waiting 40 plus minutes for another delivery down the road.

They then tried to end the call without apologies or anything. When I pushed for a solution they said free burger next time you order.

Anyhow I place my order in store on another occasion and advise them about my free burger. The owner of the store who has been featured in marketing videos etc then mocked me and let off a slight laugh said hah you're having a replacement burger just because of pickles. Advised him yes due to having an allergy to again no apologies just a smug look on his face. Was made to feel very uncomfortable for bringing my issue to light and kept getting dagger stares whilst in store.

No use of gloves or hats whilst handling food or during the cooking process. The owner didn't even have a beard guard on and he was in and out of the kitchen.

Waited ages for the burgers to come and again quality was nowhere near when they first opened. Funny how they opened a second store while the first one closed due to "fire" damage. Something suss going on for deffo.

Will never order from here again and will not recommend it to family and friends. If you want decent food just walk down the street for 5 mins and you will arrive at mo burgri and another 15 minutes you will find Kenzas.

Both have been tried and tested and their food is amazing and customer service to match.

I hope the owner sees this and acts upon this and does not leave the generic copy and...

A group of us visited Burger Lab yesterday… I was (ashamed to say) a ‘Burger Lab’ virgin even though my cousin has been highly recommending their burgers for a while now. I’m not a Coventry local and so we decided to make a special visit to the Burger Lab to celebrate a birthday. I was surprised at the vast variety of burger's that were on offer. Definitely something for everyone. We all pretty much brought a different burger (there were 7 of us!). We dined in too. I went for the lab spicy dipped chicken burger (mainly because I was too “chicken” to try out one from their crazy creation menu- slight regret, however it was still pretty spectacular in taste! And I still enjoyed every single mouthful! When I say it was the best burger I’ve had in a while, I am NOT exaggerating. It was delicious 🤤 My sister had a taste and she loved it too! (Had to practically fight her off). In retaliation, I managed to get to taste the, ‘Biscoff Bad-boy’. It was interesting and surprising scrumptious too! My cousin went for the Freakin’ Ferrero (he said it was good, sooo good he was too greedy to share 😊) we all agreed that the burgers here were definitely the best we have had and I’m already looking forward to returning on my next visit to Coventry! The staff were also amazing, the owner, Hassan, even came out and cracked a few jokes 😂 great service, excellent entertainment and delicious food. What more can you ask for? If you are a burger enthusiast I would highly recommend giving Burger Lab a visit and unlike me, go wild and order one of their crazy creation burgers! I’m already planning on my next burger 🍔 meal! I placed an order thinking it had good service, but to my surprise, when I turned up 20 mins later, my order wasn't even ready. The staff there didn't even know I had ordered some 25 mins ago. They had to search for the order. Then it took them just 5/6 mins to prepare as I had said I'd leave it as I had to make a long journey. They knew that I had kids - I had placed kids meal order - with me BUT that didn't make any difference to them. Any ways, they had made the burger which was OK, not what they make it out to be out of this world. Due to being in a rush, I thought, they'd at least take the initiative to put tissue, sauce in the bags, BUT once again I had already made my way DUE to being late in the first place and then realised NO TISSUE, NO SUACE... I mean this was a SHOCKER, imagine trying to eat fries without sauce.. the place is new and nice in terms of décor BUT service was VERY VERY poor. Furthermore, there was one guy who was their mate, and he behaved as if he is some sort of BIG/IMPORTANT person, kept on looking at people, trying to seek attention. Truth is that place is made for their mates and not for normal customers, because their mates behave as if its a hangout place and not a food place. It seemed to be a place of thugs not a food place. Any ways, it was a bad experience... Really disappointed. BRGR Lab, if you are reading this post, please try to make this a food place and NOT a place for mates to behave like idiots and small things like tissue and sauce make a huge difference.....
