Oodles Wok Coventry — Restaurant in Coventry

I always love the food from this place, but tonight, they missed a whole meal. I ordered 2 main meals and sides. I phoned just eat with no help (although not the call centre person's fault, they have rules) no results. Phoned the restaurant, no answer and kept getting cut off. I know people are busy but I work in a warehouse, imagine if I couldn't be bothered to make the time to send you your order that was paid for? Wouldn't you be annoyed? I'll switch to Uber eats thanks and won't be using this restaurant ever again. Oh and by the way the 1 meal we did receive was not one that we ordered. Even worse!

UPDATE 24th Dec 2020. The restaurant did contact me a while ago now asking me to contact them so they could make it up to me. I responded, although not immediately. I have had no response since. I have still not used this restaurant since and never will. The Customer Service...

Coventry store: Ordered online for collection. Arrived and they had no idea about the order so we were waiting a few extra minutes than expected. The guys were really apologetic and professional and gave us extra wings as an apology 👍 but the food wasnt great. The spicy chips are soft soggy fries which have maybe been tossed in sweet chilli sauce..? Who wants soggy chips? I had 'crispy' chicken, Thai chicken curry, vegetable noodles and egg fried rice. The rice was boiled rice with small bits of egg and everything else was tasteless but spicy. No real flavour, just spice. Very disappointed. My boyfriends sweet and sour chicken was basically dry red chicken pieces, no sauce or flavour. For the price you pay, I won't be coming back. One 🌟 because the service was friendly. I visited yesterday afternoon with a friend, and unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired. The man at the till (Mujahid, according to the receipt) was extremely rude and impatient, despite us being the first customers and placing a straightforward order. My friend even had to politely remind him that there was no need to be angry, yet his attitude didn’t improve.

To make matters worse, I waited 40 minutes for my drink(after reminding that I hadn’t received it), even though the place wasn’t busy—it could have easily been handed over the counter.

That being said, the Bento box was nice, but I wouldn’t recommend the chicken sausage roll—it had an odd, almost soapy taste.

Overall, a mixed experience. The food had some highlights, but the poor service really let it down....
