Lovely cafe with super friendly and attentive staff and stunning decor. The food menu is typical for a cafe; the turkey brie and cranberry toastie from their Christmas specials menu and the soup of the day (winter veg) were both delicious, as was the bakewell pudding. Coupling in the coffee with the food, overall 4* for the offering as the coffee (Cappucino) could have been smoother, but it was still very nice. It is also a very rustic, small little coffee shop with limited spaces, so on a busy saturday it can fill up; as with Cafes though it wouldn't be a long wait. Its not particularly wheelchair friendly due to the space and the large entry step but im sure it could be accommodated if needed....
Read moreWe visited Bakewell on our way through and we decided to pop into this lovely tea room with our 5 dogs (in their pushchair) Wow the food was scrumptious! The cheese scones were to die for and the Bakewell pudding was beautiful.
We also asked for sausages for the dogs and they were so kind and obliging nothing was too much.
The atmosphere was really friendly and relaxed and we had a lovely conversation with the locals which made us feel so at home.
It is only a small tea room but absolutely perfect and the staff were so kind and welcoming that we would definitely visit again if we were in the area.
Thank you for making...
Read moreWe got the Bakewell Tart & the Bakewell Pudding (unfortunately not the best photos) and they were both really good and the perfect portion per person. Moreover, something that we've never seen before is how they have extra hot water for the tea and even offered to provide more at no extra cost (the tea itself being about £3 which is lower than many places already).
What made the visit even better was the atmosphere (nice and homely) the friendliness of the staff even when they were incredibly busy.
Also - Great GF and vegan options for cakes and pastries which is greatly appreciated.
