Barley Twist Table Table — Restaurant in Doncaster

ok were do i begin i am disabled in a wheelchair we had just walked from Bentley to Doncaster or my partner had pushing me . we got to premier inn Doncaster((( i asked the manager is the restaurant open he said no yet we are cleaning up (( in a very nasty tone ... i got a cappuccino my partner got a glass of water (( she do s not drink tea or coffee )) and sat down , we were waiting for the restaurant to open in 1 hours time the ((((((( the manager was watching us all the time on purpose to make us feel unwelcome )))) i said is the the restaurant opened(( he said MIGHT AS WELL ))) we went in (( god knows why ))) the manager served us i go the grill most expensive thing there my partner got (( the worst Lettice i have ever seen chips were ok . onion & cucumber and the chicken was spicy witch she never order .. she ordered as we have at home (( she dos not like spicy food just plain salad like me ))) we have been going to this restaurant for years IT AS GONE FROM A WELL RUN , VERY NICE MEALS , CLEAN , LOTS OF STAFF WITH A ,HEAD CHEF TO IS if we go there again it will be for a coffee may be ,,, one nice person was the Scottish waitress don,t know why she stays there and the disabled toilet was blocked i told the staff as far as i could see no...

Meet up with friends here occasionally never had an issue till last night. We were told there might be a wait with staffing issues when they took our order ok. Then waitess said 2 front of house staff had to go in kitchen to help trainee chef and she was on her own. This lady was run off her feet serving at the bar at taking orders, very pleasant and apologetic and did an excellent job. The food when it arrived was the worst we've had there. My friend sent hers back the chips were cold. My other friend and I had winner winner chickene 🍽 which when it came was not what was described in the menu. Crispy roast potatoes were soggy wedges, savoy cabbage was undercooked broccoli, and the peas were like bullets. The chicken breast was dry and overcooked and the gravy was like water?We left most of it.l We were offered free drinks by a young man who brought our meals which we ordered and we never got them. Never known it as bad. Clearly down to staffing issues and seemingly lack of a qualified chef on the night but poorest experience...

cant fault food normally. but todays food was shocking!

had a fairly elderly kady serve us who doesnt know cocktails. first couldnt find the how to make card. after 20 mins finally brought cocktails across (bare in mind at this point only us and one other table in and they didnt need serving so not busy).

brought over drinks Pina colada is worst ive ever tried. sister went and got us a gin instead and told another member of staff who said " just neck it" someone then came to collect glasses and i said again it was worst ever had and got response of ... well normally fine.

yes ive drunk in there plenty and normally is fine, but doesnt mean specific member of staff can make cocktails.

responses were poor n couldnt care less today, not normal standards in there. if thats what the staff are becoming it will stop us going in. we wasted money on drinks that a couple of us tried (,to see if we could swap between us) and non of us could drink it. so...
