Their bread is lovely but I certainly WILL NOT be buying anything from there again. A lady came out and got right down in niece's face and shouted at her for "banging" on the window. This was not the case she had just put her finger on the window to point out the wasp. My niece is only 4 and the most kind hearted little girl you could meet. She was soo upset(as was my 2 year old daughter) when my sister asked the lady to not shout at her daughter she then shouted at my sister and called her a rude word. This lady is the most unpleasant person I have ever met. To come out and get right into a 4 year olds face and shout like that was absolutely disgusting. Popped in today to pick up some lunch for the beach but we were a little early " don't worry said the guy behind the counter what would you like, I'll make it up for you if you can wait a minute on the bench across the road" ( all the sandwiches are made fresh each day with all the love and care you would expect from a high end restaurant) sure not a problem (we had the New York deli style peppersl steak Gouda and accompaniments). He gave us a little wave, we received our sandwiches paid and left. The stars are for the crusty rolls only. The poor customer service I've experienced in my last few visits would have deserved ZERO. Some of the staff are lovely, but occasionally I walked in feeling I've disturbed them. During the last visit there was NO welcome, in fact NO words spoken by shop staff until she said a sharp 'POUND'. No please, no thank you. Very intimidating, very unpleasant, very unusual for Sidmouth. .

Note to staff and owners: If you want returning customers. BE NICE! Get the' V' put back on your sign as the shop looks unkempt. It was still missing when I visited Sidmouth a few weeks back. Sort the poor lighting in the shop. Remove the many, many insects in...
