First time visiting the Panacea in Louth. Was out for a Christmas Eve shop and wanted to get my Son a drink. What a great surprise. From walking in and being greeted by Kieran (Owner), to the young but very helpful Mia behind the bar who mananged to make a few interesting drinks.

We decided to eat and Kieran found us a great table in the back room. Good choice with some interesting dishes. Such a change to see that I can order the same burger made with a Chicken breast instead of beef as my Son (I don't eat red meat) and get all the same trimmings without having a war with the restaruant! It could be the perfect place for me.

Atmosphere was really good, food was presented perfectly cooked to perfection and really tasty. Louth has needed somewhere else you can eat to a really good standard and this place is definately it. The other tables looked to be having a simialr experience. Some freinds of ours were also in and having a great time. Great food, great atmosphere and really attentive staff, who were friendly and genuinely seemed to care whether you were enjoying yourselves. They also seemed to enjoy working there even thought it was Christmas Eve.

I highly recommend booking in advance as this place will fill up fast.

Well done Kieran and team I truly hope this is the success it deserves to be....

This place is the best bottomless brunch I’ve ever had. I’ve had multiple in chain restaurants but this has a balance of drinks and light bites. I went with my boyfriend and we both had chilli prawns and a separate dish each. Our dishes came with bread with home made dips which were very authentic to Greek culture. The severs and owner were amazing making sure we were comfortable and happy with the drinks we had. Many would be disappointed with drinks served however I thoroughly enjoyed plenty of the drinks which wasn’t too sweet and actually complimented the food we had. I would definitely recommend this place. It’s classy and very good!

The only thing that I would watch out for is the lack of parking which isn’t the establishments fault but that of Louth’s county council. I would recommend someone dropping you there but the facility is very much accessible with multiple ramps and little to no steps!

P.S if the owners read this thank you very much for your hospitality it was very much...

I went to the panacea last night for a staff christmas meal. What a disappointment. We were left waiting 40 minutes before getting a drink and food. Only 3 came had to ask for the fourth. Only for the 3 Xmas skewers to be cold. They wasn't probed before leaving the kitchen. So we got free drinks. Which when they came the were slammed down in front of me and I had to dish them out! Left waiting again for pudding. Terry's chocolate orange cheesecake was lovely. No cooking involved with that. The strawberry skewers was in my colleges words nasty. The strawberry was raw. Rock hard and un edible. The chocolate sauce was stone cold. It was the worst experience I have had in a long while. To which I will not be...

We had the yorkshire pudding wraps which were nicely presented, the food was very tasty but only just a little warm not hot especially the cauliflower cheese which was actually cold - a shame. We were not asked how it was so couldn't send back. Staff were OK, lots of them but not much in terms of table service, for example we had to go up to the bar to be able to pay when we had been finished for a while. Also arrived to soapy and slippery floors (12 midday). It is dog friendly. A little bit disapointed so would not go again.

The food is delicious, I chose a halloumi gyro with salad and chip and a side of sweet potato fries. I don’t eat tomato usually but for the time ever the flavour was so delish it got polished. Only thing I would say is that if there is an event on it would be good to have a separate bar or an way of keeping it separate from the main bar and restaurant as we found it very hard to hear each other amongst the drunken events. Despite that I assume events are not so often and have attended again since with no issue
