Really, really delicious! We just finished our meal here and have to say regardless of the poor reviews we really did have a wonderful experience. We ordered and leisurely sat enjoying a drink and each others company. The atmosphere was relaxed and not at any point did we feel rushed or on some conveyer belt, which is typical of some 'fast food' restaurants, only this is not 'fast food' it was fresh and cooked to order.
I will add there were a few, I would politely say 'over weight' people who clearly needed to be fed immediately, scoffing down their food, without once taking a breath or enjoying their company or scenery.....So would just like to set the potential scene whilst reading some of the bad reviews posted about not being fed quick enough, and would advise you not to be put off by these....and I am truly speaking from our personal experience.
I think this little place is a delight and whilst the food is not immediately placed under you nose it really was delicious but I would advise you try and see for yourself!
Staff maybe need a little more training with checking for allergens (purely to make sure food is served as expected) but the young lad that served us was very polite and clearly trying his best and it really did go a long way for us.
Lowestoft definitely needs more small businesses just like this one and i believe as locals we should be supportive and assist in their growth and not tear them down in an attempt to receive a free meal....as I know many do unfortunately.
Speaking of pennies, we food it reasonably priced and worth every Pound!
Good job Jus' winging it.....keep going! You are doing a fabulous job and your food is...
Read moreNEVER, EVER, AGAIN Waited 40 mins despite being only 1 other couple in the venue. It was whilst waiting that we noticed seagul poo literally everywhere on the floor. I was also asked to pay on ordering (with hindsight this was a obvious ploy to prevent customers leaving without paying). When the food eventually arrived, the chips for all 3 meals had been fried again to reheat them. The chicken in the burger was covered in thick batter tasting of flour, as were the chicken wings - despite no mention of batter or southern fried on the menu. Served in cheap cardboard, and with cheap wooden knives and forks which broke. Most shocking were members of staff hudled round a table, vaping whilst we were eating. The food was so unedible that we could only manage to eat half. On leaving I complained about the experience and although they apologised for the wait, commented "well its fried food isn't it", and weren't interested in the slightest when I mentioned staff vaping and bird poo all over the floor. Suffice to say not recommended and I won't...
Read moreStopped at Bar 20 today for some drinks and hoping to get something to eat. When ordering drinks we asked whether we could also order food, we were advised that someone would take our order at the table. After waiting for around 40 mins with no sign of anyone to take out order we asked again at the bar to be told that they didnât do food and we needed to âgo next doorâ. We told the person at the bar we had been told to wait for someone to take our order at the table, he just shrugged and smiled; didnât even bother to say âsorryâ.
There were people eating on the table behind us when we arrived and there were menus on the tables so it seemed a bit odd to be told this. Needless to say we didnât stay and wonât be rushing back. Shame as weâd had a much better experience when visiting a few months earlier when they were serving some very nice street food. Something...
