Southwold Putting Green & Cafe — Restaurant in East Suffolk

Nice enough place, but very slow and customer service not where it should be. One hour wait to serve up a slice of cake and an egg royale. Apparently our timing was wrong (11:00 when the venue was 50% full). It was also pointed out (told you so style) that we had been advised of the food waiting times at the time of order. Indeed we had - ten minutes is what we were told, so their estimate was out by 600%. To be honest a simple 'yes sorry guys, it has been a long wait, we have had a difficult morning' or similar would have been fine, but instead the approach was adversarial, just making the situation worse. Lovely Cafe. Visited with my wife and stepson and our grandchildren and their little Dog on Bank holiday Monday the 21st of April. We had full English breakfasts and hot drinks. Lovely boating lake, if a little overpriced and chaotic!
