Very friendly and good service. Well worth a look and help them make a successful venue for refreshing fun and good vibes. Wholesome food and Very reasonable priced drinks. Take a trip to the townhouse. I definitely recommend that. I haven't been in here for around a year due to my ill health but today I stopped in and it was like I was only there yesterday. A very warm welcome and Elaine never changes,I have met her in many a drinking established over the years, her on one side of the bar and myself on the other. She is exactly the type of person you need to welcome you in. There is no stranger's and weather you are in a crowd or on your own you feel like part of the puzzle and she helps you fit right in. I’ve been going into the townhouse on and off for the last 5 years. It’s changed management a fair amount, and I’d say this is the worst. They are trying to turn this into something it is not and never will be, and that’s why it’s so empty in there now. The reviews that get left are all people known to the new manager so not very reflective of how it really is. Unless your face fits what they want in there, then it won’t be a good night. It’s a shame they feel the need to repeatedly say how bad it was in there before, no it wasn’t. So so much better than it was 12 months ago, used to attract the dregs. The place has been cleaned up big time, from the bar area to the spotless loos and the outside areas. Don't think they serve food, but the drinks were reasonably priced and the bar staff great, Ali on the Sunday and a lady with longish darker hair the day before. Entertainment was karaoke and a local busker on the Sunday. Pool table which was a quieter area and safe for the 11-year-old and his mum we had with us playing pool.
