A wonderful, atmospheric place. I’d even say — exceptional. It’s not easy to get in. Even when you try booking a table online for an available time, you still get an email saying that you can’t reserve that slot. We came at noon because it was Saturday and no evening tables were available.
The owner is truly warm-hearted — she greets every guest personally and calls you by name.
We waited quite a while for our order. The menu descriptions weren’t very clear, so we basically ordered almost blindly. The prices for all the breakfasts are more or less the same, but the breakfasts themselves vary a lot.
When my husband saw my plate, he said he’d cry — the portion was that small! :))) But I thought, well, maybe it’ll be good for my figure. And smart people say you should leave the table still a little hungry — so maybe that’s exactly the point!
But the roasted pepper sauce — absolutely amazing. Unbelievably delicious! I’m giving a standing ovation for that one!
Would love to come back for dinner or attend an event sometime. I’m really glad a place like this exists in Blackpool. Thank you for the...
Read moreWe recently went to this place on our date night. Please don't be fooled by the good reviews and avoid this place.
The place is very small (not a problem), there were only 3 tables including our booked and the food took 50min to arrive. We ordered like a mixed grill plate £18, there was 2 chicken wings, 2 drum sticks, one tiny lamb cofta and 2 cubes of a chicken breast, ah yeah and algo a hand full of chips. Chicken was dry as f*, probably frozen fried. The other plate we ordered was the lamb special, portion was like a tapas portion and cold.
My other half ordered an espresso martini, tiny glass and very watered £9 wasted. I total we spent £45 for 2 plates one cocktail and one beer.
No toilet roll in the toilet, we pointed that to the staff and they had to go out and get some from a storage room they have next door or something.
Staff were nice enough.
Later that night after leaving this place we bumped into one of the couples that had a meal at this place at the same time as us and they were not happy either with their meal.
SO PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE, YOU'LL...

The food was excellent and the hospitality was truly warm. We hadn’t mentioned the anniversary and conclude this experience must be the norm.
As a local and believer in the Blackpool mentality it was fantastic to enjoy great home made food without being pretentious.
The atmosphere was very comfortable and the small menu reminiscent of a continental family restaurant with ‘Dishes of the Day’.
Highly authentic and not the over hot, over spiced British version of Indian food often served up at many restaurants.
This food was not made from a pre prepared generic sauce base, as is common and clearly made from scratch.
But for the occasion I normally love to make my own curries having been authentically taught over 40 years ago.
The proprietress Remuka was so kind, not only did she hand write the recipe for me (unprompted) - she even gave me her mobile number in case I needed advice.
Now that...
