Meals Hot lips burger Jousy...

At first look this is a lovely bar and restaurant , however the service is something to be desired. There were 6 staff members (one of them brand new clearly getting no support or help) and not a single one looked in our direction. We had an empty jug of water on our table and at least 5 empty glasses that nobody moved for at least 30 minutes. We ended up moving the glasses to the bar ourselves. Nobody had asked if we would like any more drinks and our food first of all wasn't in stock and second off all took an hour to arrive and when it did, it did not arrive at the same time (the onion rings we ordered didn't turn up until most of the meal was finished) What really topped the whole experience off was that people were coming in much later than us and recieving their food before us and finishing it. Another couple were waiting for drinks for so long that they got up and left. When our bill arrived, they had charged us for more drinks than we had actually had and then took a further 5-10 minutes to get the card machine. The young woman with light brown/ginger hair who took our payment was incredibly rude- ignoring one of our party, then not acknowledging us whatsoever, leaving without a thank you or an apology for the incredibly shocking service. Booked for pre-graduation family meal. Waitress was too busy on her radio whilst taking the order to get it completely right. Paid extra for triple cooked chips - which were ridiculously huge wedges. Fish and chips - again huge wedges and fish looked like something you’d buy cheaply from a supermarket and was over cooked. They didn’t offer their signature flat iron steaks as it was graduation week (poor excuse) so ordered the £20 rump which came with one small mushroom and half a tomato. Realised after we paid the bill that we’d been charged £27 for a ribeye and an extra £2 for the fries! They also added a 9.09% service charge! Witnessed a waitress drop clean cutlery on the floor then put it back in the cutlery drawer. When we tried to explain the issues with the food, the waitress basically said that that was what we ordered and didn’t seem to understand what we were saying (language barrier?)
