Went with my partner on a Saturday night. The place was busy, and even though we arrived a little early they were able to seat us at our table, up on the mezzanine floor. The staff were very communicative, letting us know that there was a slight delay of 15 mins for food. And when the food came, just wow. Well worth the 15 minute delay. The quality of the food was incredible, so delicious. We were recommended 3 tapas dishes each but we ended up ordering 4 a piece. Special mention of the bavette steak. The chefs worked wonders with a cut rarely found in restaurants. Between us we had the bread and oil, the pastas bravas, the prawns, the scotch egg, the Parma ham, bavette, the meatballs, the chicken thighs, and the calamari. The total cost was ~£75 for the above list and couple of drinks each. Money well spent, as the atmosphere was great, the staff and other customers were in great spirits and the food was absolutely fantastic. Will definitely be...
Read moreIf you're looking for a gem of a bistro/restaurant, this is a diamond. Not an easy find on the street as the restaurant is up an alleyway with a signboard overhead and easily missed. I found it from Googling 10 best eating places in Hereford. It came out as suitable for my group as we didn't want, pub grub, burgers or roasts. It offers small plates - tapas and more A la carte sized dishes. Perfect I thought and so it proved. Edgy dishes and good straightforward ones. You can order two to share and wait then order another two, to make an evening of it. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, who were helpful and efficient. Draught beers are limited but the wine list is very good and varied. Large groups to individuals are welcome. In summer it must be lovely to sit outside and eat in the covered area. Seek out this eatery it is well worth it. Tapas dishes around £7. Booking is possible...
Read moreThe restaurant is down a narrow alley. Unfortunately, the adjacent building is under maintenance and surrounded by scaffolding, so it is a little off-putting visually. We were there on a Sunday, so no work was being carried out. It could be noisy through the week. However, the food is out of this world. We opted for the Sunday Tapas menu. Every dish was delicious. I spend most of my time in Spain and these dishes were the best I've had. The whisky smoked trout on beetroot and sour bread was wonderful, as well as the courgette fries. The waiter was very knowledgeable on the menu and drinks and very accommodating when we asked to have the bill split 4 ways. He also took an interest in why we were visiting Hereford. I wish them very success in their venture and hope that if I'm ever back in Hereford, it is...
