Amontola Indian Restaurant — Restaurant in England

I have been to the Amontola Restaurant many times. As a West Yorkshire lad I have dined in many Indian restaurants. The Amontola is up there with the best. It is immaculately clean with nice decor which gives an upmarket appearance. The staff are really helpful and polite and the menu straightforward and easy to choose from. The food is excellent, the onion bhaji I had for starters was really good, one of the nicest I have eaten. I have tried many of the main dishes and they never disappoint. Last night I had chicken tikka methi with a peshwari nan which was really good - the curry sauce was nice and spicy and a really thick consistency which is how I like my curries. The Nan was excellent. Portion sizes are very generous and the food nicely presented. The staff clearly take pride in the food and service they offer. If you are looking for an affordable meal out and like Indian food then I really recommend the Amontola. I have often said you can’t get a good curry out of Bradford - the Amontola...

Very bad Experience… 😡Amontola is money wasting Restaurant 😞Not suitable for indian people..🤮We had some Chicken dishes like chicken tikka masala , chicken tikka quantity is very less and it’s not having indian test the curry was very sweet in test it not added salt only having sugary test .like a “coconut kheer…” we ask to the waiter to replace curry he said only sorry .and we also ordered crispy garlic nan and cheese nan totally burn nan he serve .. we complained him but they didn’t replace nan he said you ordered crispy nan it couldn’t be replace sorry then we again order normal nan he bring half roast nan we feel like we are eating only flour dough… 🤬🤬😡 My daughter order some kids menu butter chicken and rice.. it also had test less rice not having salt curry is like coconut kheer.. 🤮🤮 she didn’t eat.. and waiter said us it’s made for British people…Its not Indian restaurant.. not suitable for Indian people We went asgarth as tourists..it’s not our...

The food was overall bland and the butter chicken curry tasted very much like a korma. My partner detests coconut and there was no indication of this on the menu as it's the first time he's ever come across a butter chicken curry that contains coconut. When the waiter came to ask us how the food was, my partner told the waiter that he wasn't happy with his dish. No offer of an alternative was given and they just argued with us that everyone has their version of the recipe and it was our problem not there's. My partner ended up leaving his food and sharing my biryani instead. We were made to pay £12 for something he barely touched. Poor customer service and the food lacked flavour and spice.
