I try not to give bad reviews however this place needs a thorough review. I always go in with no judgement and then write up a deserved review. So, I visited a few days back with my family and friend's family (party of 8) with children who were all below the age of 8. The first thing that sent alarm bells ringing was that the manager picked a plate up off the floor and placed it back on the table after it fell. Now I was in observation mode! Then when he bought out popadoms for the kids to start, he made a comment that was very confusing for me to hear. I've never heard a restaurant manage to tell customers to be careful with popadoms, as they're crumbly, and not to make a mess. He did add 'please' but that doesn't change a thing. We should have packed up and left at that point, but the kids were hungry. We made a small order for the kids and decided we would stay if our experience improved. Well - the food was enough for us to decide we would rather go hungry. This place can't do Indian food right. I should know, I'm of Indian origin and I eat at various Restraunts so I know what Indian discs taste like. The chicken didn't seem right. Something was off. Maybe it was frozen or maybe it was the way they cooked it but it's not authentic by a long way. If you want a rude experience, bad service, and worse food, look no further! I feel thoroughly get down here and I seriously think this place needs an overhaul in management and kitchen/menu. I won't...
Read moreAs an Indian, I found it offensive when Bangladeshi food is served but called Indian cuisine. And this is exactly what we see here. Saag peneo, which apparently is saag paneer , told by one of their staffs, had no paneer what so ever . Moreover, the dish which is known for its delicious flavour, tasted so sweet that I would probably put it under desert menu. The saga doesn't end here, the famous chana masala had no masala in it. If I have to praise one thing, it was the chicken korai. It was ok. We have definitely had much better one in the UK. On the top of all this, the restaurant has the audacity to charge 10 pounds for popadums and chutneys. I'm a Londoner and used to such silly prices, but I felt the food and services here are just not worth the price...
Read moreThe most disgusting place I have ever been to!
We had bahar special biryani, lamb vindaloo and chicken jalfarezi as main course plus lamb and chicken tikkas as starters. Drinks have been sprite and Pepsi.
The portions have been very small for the overpriced food. Old and smelly food has been served with burned Naans. The dishes itself have been Tasteless. The starters have been only boiled and marinated in sauce. The meat in the biryani was seperatly mixed in & the rice was old and dry. Even the soft drinks have been old has they have been flat while pouring in our glasses. The lamb vindaloo should be called lamb in the loo!
We had tummy aches for 2 days!
