Fork and Flavour — Restaurant in England

In past, there was a coffee tots so I was going to this place a lot with my daughter when she was a baby. I love going back there sometimes to enjoy a 'me time' moment but my last visit was not too pleasant. Oat flat white ordered was too hot, I mentioned and the waiter pour more milk (cold) that was not a pleasure experience as at that point I was having a oat latte.. at least the mini gâteau I have was good! Also, the presentation of the cakes were different compare to my previous visits - some big blue bags of potatoes! underneath these, when I asked what it was, that's the explanation I get. To be honest, it is not really nice that way. Finally, all my clothe smelled food after that, same happened after my last two visits. As much as I would love my husband and I to come one day for a change of Chester coffee shop with the canal view while having a super hot coffee and having to wash our clothe with the strong food smells 😂 unfortunately my third visit will be probably my last one!...

I scooted over here to get a decent coffee as the review rating seemed to suggest this would be the case. Ordered a long black which gave me hope it would be nice quality with a bit of oomph. However, the takeaway cup was full to the brim and super hot, which meant that the flavour was burnt and also diluted (as it was actually just a long Americano). I did double check the order but was told it was what I'd said. A shame as I couldn't even drink any in the lovely looking cafe, had to ask the server to pour some away so it wouldn't spill as I walked with it. Of course when it finally cooled enough it was diluted and underwhelming, as I expected from pouring that much hot water in. I think the food looked fab (from the other tables), although the cafe itself smelled like a meaty grill (it made my clothes smell too) so I reckon with a better extraction fan and some more barista training it would probably deserve the reputation it has. Beautiful canalside...

Terrible. Truly terrible. Was in this joke of an establishment today and I was heavily disappointed multiple times. Ordered the full English. Nothing English about that. I wasn't full after either. Portion size was miniscule for £15. The beans were disgusting. Only gave one sausage and it was not a breakfast sausage. The hash brown didn't even taste like a hash brown. The egg was raw. Raw. Fully raw. Went up to the guy at the counter after and told him to be careful BC the egg was raw (which is a health risk). His face dropped and in a very rude tone he said. "How come your only saying now. I would've done you another one" how come you don't know how to cook an egg? Not once did anyone check on us during the meal to see if the food was ok. Would not recommend. Overpriced, rude staff and below average...
