Where do I begin? We ventured up to Brighton from Cornwall for two things. To visit a spa and to grab a vegan doner kebab from this place. Neither let us down.
When we walked in it instantly reminded me of the famous ruin bars of Budapest, Hungary. Full of character from floor to ceiling. Overflowing with quirkiness, yet the real star of the show has to be Beelzebab.
We tried out the doner and my word, it was so tasty! I haven’t eaten a real kebab in several years since turning vegetarian and I never thought I’d have the simple pleasure of pitta, meat and salad again. My partner has never had the pleasure, so i wasn’t sure if the vegan doner would do it justice- but it totally did!
Crisp pitta, fresh veg, banging chilli sauce and a naughty tzatziki complement the succulent strips of Seitan giving you an authentic flavour- minus the guilt of eating a baby sheep and whatever else they bung in that stuff normally.
If you haven’t already tried and you’re reading the reviews whilst trying to decide, all I can say is don’t be a melt and go and...

I queued to order behind one other, when it was my turn to order the bar staff did not take my order and left me standing there waiting for over 10 minutes while there were no other customers to serve and the place was fairly quiet as a whole. I gave up and a friend managed to find someone who was clearing tables to take our order.
Although quick, the food was disappointing. I had the signature Beezlebab kebab, it had a lot of “meat” and red cabbage” but little else, leaving it somewhat bland. The sauce that it did have was watery enough to make the pitta soggy.
I imagine this place could be 4* on a good day if you order the right thing, But overall my experience was...

Vegan junk food is good, but pancake Day here is the best. Off the normal menu, I'm personally not a big fan of the hotdogs, and that's a "my mouth doesn't like the texture" thing. However, the loaded fries and kebabs are amazing. Pudding is ways super too. This is one of my fav places to bring an omni friend to surprise them how ace vegan junk food can be. Service is usually good, although, of course, a little slower when busy. Its a popular place, so don't be surprised if you can't get a seat on a...
