itsu - Brighton — Restaurant in England

Unfortunately ordered via Ubereats - they very clearly gave us food that was going to end up in a bin by end of the shift. The majority of the avocado was black/grey, and inedible. Considering the packaging has a transparent lid, you’d think they would have noticed boxing up.

This Itsu used to be fantastic - however this is now the second time where the vegetables within the dishes have been way past their prime - last time it was edamame that tasted like it had gone off. We decided to give it another chance this evening and unfortunately things have not improved since last time.

This is a place where you can indulge as much as you like food wise, yet still come out without any guilty feeling. At least I didn't ^_^. My favourite is their Supreme Salmon 3 Ways. Their soup and noodles/rice pots are great too. I can take a coconut and chicken soup with my sushi box-- though either one can be rather filling already. I just love the flavours: you taste something and you know there is nothing artificial in it. That's real food you put into your body. So we ordered two vegan platters for four of us and one came as fish. So we phoned up to explain and to get our order sorted. The manager answered the phone and tried to tell us that what we had been given was in fact the veggie platter. And then put the phone down mid conversation. When we phoned back after the calls were ignored. My friends had to then walk 15 minutes to the store to take the food back and prove that it was actually fish. In all of this apparently the manager was pretty rude and dismissive. Would not recommend ordering...
