Best Meze Grill — Restaurant in England

Booked a table for a party of 8 to celebrate a colleague's farewell. Needed to book for the early evening, 1600hrs, as we've all got young children at home. This place was one of few that was open this early in Windsor, so booked it in the hopes it would be good.

Simply put, amazing food. I do like my Turkish food and honestly, this was the BEST I've ever had. The colleague we were sending off is Greek so knows the Turkish cuisine much better than I and agreed it was really good quality, comparable to what he'd eat back home. The Baklava was AMAZING... I always order it anyplace I dine if the opportunity presents itself, so I know my Baklava and how they vary in quality!

Service was also great. The waiter did not rush us with requests for orders and let our party come, chat, go, come again, chat some more as we pleased. When we wanted to order he was there immediately and engaged with our chatter.

Finally, the total for the bill was VERY REASONABLE (they don't add a service charge...you should definitely tip).

I'm really glad I found this place. I will definitely come back for not only large gatherings but also just a quiet one with a friend.

UPDATE:- I'm currently on holiday with the family in Bognor Regis. I visited the top rated Turkish restaurant here and ordered EXACTLY THE SAME DISHES for the sake of comparison... no contest... Best Meze Grill hands down the better tasting for every dish, ESPECIALLY the baklava. I look forward...

Honest rewiew

Negative Aspects: -No complimentary bread or sauces -The Adana kebab was excessively salty -Very pushy about asking for a review once the bill arrived

Positive Aspects: -Pleasant atmosphere -Fantastic service -Friendly and helpful waitstaff

Upon entering and ordering our main dishes, I noticed there was no complimentary bread or sauces, which is typically offered in other Turkish restaurants.

We found the Adana kebab to be overly salty, to the point where it became a bit overwhelming after one or two bites. I mentioned this to the waiter after finishing our meal, not to cause a scene, but to inform the chef about the seasoning. I’m unsure what the outcome was, as I was simply hoping for some acknowledgment.

When we requested the bill, they presented us with a card asking for a Google review. When they noticed we hadn’t reviewed it, another waiter approached us with another review request. I mentioned that I would do it later. As we were leaving, they asked again for a review. I felt that the persistent requests for Google reviews created a misleading impression of the restaurant, and overall, the food did not quite meet expectations.

That said, the staff were very friendly, and the service was excellent. It’s just disappointing that the reviews don’t align with the quality and taste...

My partner and I come here often . We used to come every week but we had to move house so now come in when we get in to Windsor which is quite often still.

The staff are nothing less than 10 / 10. They are ALWAYS so welcoming, friendly and I have to admit, make an extra effort with kids and our kids whenever we come in. If anything, we get rather spoilt there both service and food wise.

You can't go wrong with any dish really here. Everything is just delicious. Our favourites are the Albanian liver. Even if you don't like liver you will probably start liking it after tasting the one here. Comes with fresh pickled onions and a side salad and fresh lemon to squeeze on if you wish. Their seasoning is something else!!

We often get the mixed kebab but usually ends up too much food for us (which is not a. Bad thing). We just have become more conscious of wasting food so we now opt for the aubergine lamb dish which is unbelievable with the bread and rice. We share this with the lamb shish or chicken shish kebab. Always a winner.

You won't ever go hungry after a meal here. The wine , if you're a wine drinker , is always a hit. YAKUT. A Turkish red wine which seems to go with everything.
