My daughter is the owner of Thai Cafe Blackpool. We engaged Blackpool Eats to become one of our delivery partners. What a huge mistake that turned out to be. We receive an order and cook the food and thats where the calamity starts. The driver on one of our very first orders claimed he could not find an address which is 1/4 of a mile from the restaurant and the food went missing. Other orders weren't either collected or went undelivered. Then Blackpool Eats refunds the customers but expects us to take the loss on the food that we have cooked and prepared. When pressed for a refund the owner (who posts his own reviews on here) is unresponsive and only when chased constantly agrees to refund us for the food. He then drops us as an outlet and tried to portion the blame on us stating: "I’ll ensure it’s added to the payout on Friday. However due to the ongoing issues that drivers seem to be having with Thai Cafe we will be removing the outlet from the app from today as it’s causing us to run at a significant loss with the refunds" Sam are you sure the drivers are having issues with Thai Cafe and not the other way round? All we do is prepare the food the rest is where Blackpool Eats have fallen down! He will not take responsibility for this shabby treatment of our restaurant and ultimately our customers. They say 'the fish rot's from the head down' in this case this is unfortunately true. If you are an operator I cannot recommend this company hence the reason...
Read moreSecond time ordering, first time I collected and was told 'not many people collect' (this is due to the kitchen being upstairs with no access to public). That is fair enough, so this time I took the advice and got delivery. Original delivery time was estimated at 7.10pm, shortly after my order was accepted (about 6.25pm) I got a notification saying the time was now 7.40pm. OK, it is Saturday so I just accepted it.... when it got to 8pm I was a bit miffed as the order was still "preparing". Called the number off Facebook page...no answer. 8.00pm the order changed to 'ready'. Eventually my food arrived at about 8.10pm (an hour after the original time). Delivery guy apologised, said they are a driver down, but with delivery costing £3.50 (I live 2 mins down the road) if I order again, I will be picking up. Can't deny the burgers are great from here but surely some sort of offer of compensation...or free delivery next time is appropriate when an hour after the stated time. Read moreNo issue with the takeaway but they rang me to let me know they had received my order but there was a technical issue so they couldn’t read my order, this issue was on Blackpool eats side he told me he has rang the support line who confirmed there was an issue so they had to refund my money it would go back onto my card right away so I had to re-order my food and pay again , however Blackpool eats still took my money so I paid for my food twice when I contacted Blackpool eats they told me it was the takeaway that just didn’t take my order off the app and I would get my money in 5 working days no apology or nothing first time I have used the app I won’t be doing it again very poor...
