Don’t go here if you are wanting to go for a family meal. I was recommended this place by someone else who’s had a great experience but we had the complete opposite.
Three of us ordered starters and mains and the rest ordered only mains. To start with we asked for soft drinks which for around £3.85 we expected a pint. It came as a half pint which we were shocked at which the staff then said “I didn’t know you wanted a pint” I think for £3.85 would not be expected to be half a pint. One of my family members ordered a drink with no ice yet it came with ice but they’ve replied to my partners review saying that we didn’t yet everyone heard him ask for no ice! These drinks came from cans which I think is laughable to be charged that much for it and they were pouring them with no embarrassment in front of us!
When we ordered food they asked whether we wanted our starters with our mains or if we wanted it separately which we said separately very clearly to the waiter… it’s clear that he knew we wanted it separate because they brought one starter out then 5 minutes later when we didn’t receive the other starters we asked where they were, to which we were told they thought they were coming with the mains… seems a bit strange to me why they thought only one would come out as a starter… they then came out with the garlic bread as a starter which was meant to come with the mains (it was in a deal so there’s no reason this would be expected to come out with the starters)
The mains then came out with the remaining starters and they gave us another garlic bread to make up for the fact they brought us one out with the starter (granted they let us have the one they brought with the starter) the spaghetti bolognese came with next to no meat in it so there was no option but to either make it again or take it off the bill which they offered to take it off the bill which we obviously took, because it was shocking… the kids meals came with different chips on two of the meals compared to the other two (two were fries the other two were thick cut chips). These chips were very clearly frozen chips, god knows where from but it was so obvious. 2 of the kids meals were taken off the bill due to this but it still doesn’t make up for the fact it was appalling.
We were asked to pay a £20 deposit before coming to the restaurant but this wasn’t taken off the bill and with the shock of the restaurant we didn’t even take note to make sure that it was taken off the bill until looking through our bank a few days later so we then went back to ask for it back which they gave us, however seems like a joke to have to prompt them to give us our deposit back…
Overall a terrible experience.
In response to my partners review, how you received a phone call mid visit is beyond me haha, we don’t even live nearby so who could’ve rang you is quite a joke. How could we be scammers when we paid for everything which we should have paid for and you are who haven’t prompted us for the £20 deposit back. In regards to not being welcome back we wouldn’t want to come back to a place like this. It was a joke from walking in. We didn’t choose to sit upstairs, you sat us up there even though there was barely anyone in and you could’ve sat us downstairs quite easily so you aren’t “running up and down the stairs”. Will not...

What a fantastic find this place is! A family run restaurant with lovely decor and friendly staff is always a plus, but it’s the food that makes you go back to a restaurant for a repeat visit.
Everything from the starter (garlic bread with cheese) to the dessert (chocolate brownie / tiramisu) and our mains in between (chicken pizza/caesar chicken) was made with real care.
The garlic bread starter was really tasty, the dough was thin as it came out in the form of a pizza/round flatbread and was cooked perfectly. It arrived hot straight from the kitchen and was eaten in minutes!
My wife’s chicken pizza was lovely and really hot/fresh - I stole a piece - again, cooked really nicely with good sized chicken pieces that were fresh and white in the middle (not grey and lethargic like some places), with a good topping of cheese and made with a really nicely balanced marinara sauce. She omitted to have the fresh tomato chunks but I reckon this would have made it even better. My wife was really happy with the fact that the special request for a chicken topping was available and commented that it was one of the best pizzas she has ever had - based on my own tasting, I would be inclined to agree.
My caesar chicken main was superb. Nothing fancy; just a good portion of chicken breast, some al dente vegetables and sliced garlic potatoes, accompanied with a cream and white wine sauce. Sometimes the sauce can be very sharp when this dish is made in Italian restaurants due to the bitterness of too much alcohol still being present. However, the sauce that was on my plate was creamy with a hint of white wine that just elevated everything it touched. If I had a spoon, I would have eaten it straight, it was that delicious.
The desserts were equally fantastic - the brownie with big chunks of chocolate was a real hit with the wife, and my tiramisu was fab and again, eaten with gusto!
All in all, an amazing experience from start to finish and our waitress was equally lovely. I think we have found our new favourite restaurant and is exactly the sort of establishment that is needed in the area. Blackpool might get a bad rep, but this place is well worthy of its five star review, as it offers tasty, honest food at a reasonable price (£58 for 3 courses plus two drinks each is great value!). We will certainly be...

Table booked prior to seeing a show over at The Winter Gardens.
All started well, we arrived, were promptly shown to our table and handy grotty paper menus. When the server eventually came to take the drinks order I had to ask her 3 times for no ice, she just kept talking over me, so very rude.
The drinks arrived and the processco was flat as a pancake, candles stuck in overly large very dusty bottles on the dusty windowsill illustrated the processco had probably come from one of these large bottles and had probably been on the go all week.
20 minutes before the show start time and after seeing other tables complain about the wait time for food we decided to ask to cancel our food as we had to be at the show.
Once again she didnt listen to me and rudely ignored me again. I was told the food would be with me immediately, obviously I could have been more assertive and insisted but trying to sympathetic to her having watched others complain and also having looked forward to lovely Italian food all day i let her carry on.
Well, the food was served, my friends pasta looked bland and she said it wasn't great, I started my lasagne which tasted okay but I left most of it otherwise we wouldn't have made the show.
Taken downstairs to pay knowing we were rushing to the show, the guy taking payment told us to wait. He faffed with lots of things then gave us his attention to allow us to pay. No manners, no...
