WOW! Would highly recommend to others. Outstanding, what a hidden Gem in the centre of Blackpool, we only found it over a recommendation.

Staff/Service 5*: The staff are fantastic, hard working, tender to your requests and work to keep the place spotless. Welcoming, polite and service orientated.

Food 5*: Wide range of food offerings to suit everyone. All the food was fresh, served hot and delicious. A few dishes could have been better but overall still amazing.

Décor & Atmosphere 5*: Use of lighting, greenery and colour coordination provides a solid High Quality, high end feel. Felt like i was on a Cruise Ship in a Speciality Restaurant, well done for putting effort and attention to detail in an often overlooked area in restaurants!

Feedback Requests 5*: Your survey feedback was comprehensive and a true reflection of how you manage to provide the service you do. Attention to detail and an obvious priority to listen and service customers wants and needs.

Noise Levels & Comfort 4*: At first was perfect, nice volume & music could have conversations at ease, very comfortable atmosphere. As it got crazy busy the noise level was too high, couldn't hear yourself think no matter talk.

There are a few improvements that could be made, but at least your interested in hearing them. For us the restaurant got very busy around 5.30-6.00pm. It went from what ive explained above to at times feeling like a market hall on a sale day, but there was allot of groups of kids for an event in the area so this could have just been an unfortunate occurrence so I haven't deducted too much rating. Some tables could be better placed by not having them on high traffic areas/walkways If you haven't been before would be good for staff to explain the layout of the restaurants food and would have been a nice touch to have acknowledged my Birthday Celebration that was noted on the booking, but again staff was very busy keeping up with the capacity. More obvious Tip Jar locations or even staff thanking you and asking if you enjoyed your visit. So there is a personal touch. Allowing staff to receive appreciation directly, recognising you can't always please everyone's expectations.

Will be back when i am in the area, Thanks very much! (People removed from pictures for...

Very disappointing experience. Me and my partner had booked a table for 6pm, we had plans and needed to be somewhere else for 7pm. We arrived at 5.55 and waited in the queue to be greeted. When we got to the front the man dealing with the bookings found our reservation and told us it was very very busy and our table should be about 10-12 minutes. I explained we had somewhere to be and this is why we purposely booked for the chosen time we did. He did apologise and assured me it wouldn't be long. Me and my partner went to the bar to grab some drinks and waited patiently. It was so busy and there was people waiting to be seated like ourselves, everywhere. It was unorganised chaos. At 6.20 a family of 6 complained they had been queuing for 45 minutes (they didn't have a reservation) and the man at the front desk apologised to them and said he would see what he could do. Literally 1 minute later he took this family of 6 through to the dining area (although I was ahead of them!!!) At this point I was agitated and really not feeling the whole experience. I approached the man on the desk and explained my frustration, and that I had just witnessed him allow the other family to go ahead of us. I explained once again I was on a strict time schedule and told him how I felt it was very unfair that I had a table booked for a certain time and it wasn't honoured. He then apologised and took us to the dining area. We got seated, to then realise I didn't have any cutlery. I asked for some cutlery and no body came. On my second time of asking my cutlery was finally brought to me. It was just after 6.30 by now and again I needed to be at an event for 7! At this point I honestly just was not feeling the whole experience. I was so frustrated, I felt under pressure for time and just sheer disappointment! We quickly ate, and honestly we barely had anything. We didn't have time to enjoy our meal, or experience the deserts. The food we did have was ok. Nothing bad, nothing special, just ok. Honestly after such a disappointing experience we certainly won't be back and we certainly won't be recommending to anybody else. We had 20 minutes to eat before we needed to leave. Which is so disappointing considering I'd purposely booked my table...

Umami...... a Buffet Experience That Exceeds Expectations My initial visit to Umami tonight was met with my usual skepticism regarding buffets. I shared my reservations with the welcoming manager at the bar, who confidently assured me that Umami stands out as the premier buffet in the area. Learning that Umami has a connection to Cosmo, a buffet I've previously enjoyed, further eased my apprehension. The barman, whose name I unfortunately don't recall, provided a delightful interaction. When I inquired about the dehydrator behind the bar, he not only explained its function but also offered my daughter and me a taste of the delicious dehydrated pineapple. He also shared his personal favorite dishes from the buffet, which was incredibly helpful. I appreciate that the staff are permitted to sample the food; it genuinely enhances their ability to offer informed recommendations to customers. While there was a minor miscommunication regarding payment immediately after we were seated, which led to multiple inquiries within a short timeframe, Pete, a server, swiftly rectified the situation. His prompt action, clear explanation of the protocol, and sincere apologies were truly commendable. He consistently checked in on our group, ensuring we had a pleasant evening. Our entire group thoroughly enjoyed the food. The extensive selection ensured that even the most discerning eaters found plenty of options they loved. Considering my usual reluctance towards buffet cuisine, Umami proved to be an exceptional experience. We anticipate returning, as it's an ideal choice for families with varied...

The restaurant can be accessed from the street level by stairs or an elevator (lift for the British). It is quite spacious and the staff are quite quick in taking your used plates away so you will come back to your table without dirty plates each time when you go get another plate of food. They serve Chinese, Indian, and Chinese dishes along with western options on their buffet trays, but the quality of its food is not as good as expected. However, given the high food costs these days it is still a good option if you are hungry and want to have a variety of options to choose from. So if quantity is more important than quality, then it is not a bad choice. The sushi section was the only one that I did not try anything from there, since the sushi pieces have so much sauce on them that made them very unappealing to me. Moreover, I see quite a few fruit flies flying around and landing on those sushi pieces, which is quite disgusting in my opinion. I suggest the restaurant consider putting a transparent cover on those platters with sushi pieces to keep these flying pests away. The best thing I tasted that night was the soft-serve vanilla ice cream cone, as the machine where you place your ice cream cone and press the button to have it fill up with vanilla ice cream did a very good job in giving me a perfect ice cream cone. Other than that nothing else was worth mentioning, especially for a £20.99 dinner on a weekday night (£21.99 on a weekend night).

What a beautiful place this is, all in pastel shades with blossom trees the restaurant is aesthetically pleasing, looks very clean, the bathrooms were also nicely tiled and loved the flooring up stairs with the lights in the floor, well presented food and organised. Once seated staff come to take payment and order drinks - we had the bottomless soft drinks for £3.95 - there are loads of drinks choices at good prices. The food choices are plenty - loved the nacho cheese fountain and the chilli beef was really tasty. There’s loads of pasta, salads, meatballs, pizzas, Chinese, Indian starters and mains. The only thing I didnt like is food on the lower level has no lids - you had to lean over this to access the food on the higher level. But the food on the whole is really tasty the best being - cumin lamb, chicken biriyani, nachos, green bao bun (a must try) duck and pancakes but my fave of the day was Bombay aloo. It seemed the food thankfully doesn’t contain msg as iv not felt ill or bloated since leaving and we got through quite a lot of plates. The pudding section is gorgeous- a variety of cakes, ice cream, chocolate fountain. I was a bit too full to try everything but the Eton mess cake was lush. My daughter enjoyed the chocolate fountain and has been twice before - she said this time was the best. The staff work really hard and there was 3 girls collecting our plates and they were all so lovely - thanks so much xx
