FAULTY MACHINE AND AN EXTREMELY RUDE MANAGER!

Me and my partner went here last week as a day trip. We had spent a decent amount before spotting a key master (one of our faves). We played a couple times and on the third go, the key went through the hole but instead of spinning and pulling the prize forward, the key came out and then spun. I figured it might be best to try again and I would film it in case it did again. This way I could use to confirm to workers that it was possibly faulty and did go through... As I appreciate people scam. So we tried again and the same thing happened. I went to a worker, who was lovely and she seemed happy with it but needed a manager to approve.

Manager comes over. Immediately dismissive despite seeing the video and spoke to us like children... Despite us being a lot older. I explained that the key didn't twist and pull the prize out when it went through the hole. This guy then says... Not how it works. It is supposed to push it back.... I tried to show that the bar pulls out but he just huffed and walked off. We spent a decent amount in there and we're genuinely excited to have potentially won. Those who know the key master prizes can be good ones! But to have a manager that gives attitude when he doesn't know how the game works, treats customers like an inconvenience and cons us and potentially others (a lot being kids!) is so wrong!!

We have been going blackpool/here every year for years but I will not spend another penny in here again!!

Please be warned, I would not like the thought of kids being taken advantage...

You can't go to Blackpool without going on to one of the piers, their a study in design and engineering from years gone by, which unfortunately is beginning to tell , a lot of the ornate railings have rusted completely through and are boarded off though you can still sit on the original seating which runs down both sides, some of the original decking is still in place as well as some replacements but they've gone for the cheap and easy fix of putting big sheets of marine ply down which does spoil the look somewhat. There's a few little refreshment kiosks along the length as well as very small fair at the end, price wise it's completely free just to wonder along and enjoy the sea breeze and views of the promenade or the Irish sea and to be fair the kiosks aren't badly priced I had a triple scoop ice-cream in a large cornet (there was a lot of ice-cream) and it cost £4, in comparison I've paid the same for a small cone with one scoop...

Very, very disappointing. The arcade at the front is very poor and too far behind the times. Standard ticket machines with poor prizes exist. The lady doing the grand national seemed ready to end it all as she was failing to get any interest in the game. Staff at the ticket counter were very friendly. The place was dark, dingy, dirty and in poor repair. The toilets are awful. Get on to the pier and it's very tired looking. It felt quite sad knowing at one time it would have been vibrant and busy. Getting to the end and there's a seating area filled with deckchairs but it feels like the day room of an old people's homes again it was quiet and tired etc. The whole pier feels less and less relevant as time goes on as it caters to fewer and fewer people and Hass less and less to offer newer generations. Such a shame to see something so...

What a lovely old fashioned pier the North Pier! Interesting things to look at and enjoy as you stroll along, wheelchair accessible and cafes, pubs but not rowdy ones along the way, traditional seaside gift shops, ice cream and candy floss etc. Sooty and the story of how it all began, raising money with a slot to put coins in if desired for the RNIB (people that are blind or partial sighted) . Great theatre at the end of the North Pier with pics of acts past & present that have performed in the theatre. Bloom bar is lovely, pricey but quality in a great setting, DJ Desmond played some great Motown & Soul music , and you can dance or relax either under cover, or in the garden part with lovely comfy outdoor tables & chairs, with beautiful views of the sea and Blackpool Tower.
