Visited with my partner Saturday before last. The place is quaint but pleasant inside. First thing that I noticed was how warm and airless it was inside. There was heavy rain, and a lot of condensation on the windows. It may have helped to have a window or air conditioning available here but we managed.
I ordered the vegan full breakfast and my partner a sausage, bacon and cheese sandwich. The food was reasonable enough, albeit the hash browns were not cooked enough in my personal opinion. My partner said that she did like her sandwich. My biggest gripe however is was with the service. We had to wait 45 minutes for my breakfast to arrive, which was served to me. It then took a further 15 minutes for my partners sandwich to arrive (an hour for a sausage, bacon and cheese sandwich?). It wasn't even particularly busy either. The ingredients in the sandwich other than for the sliced cheese were also on my plate - so I'm not sure why they weren't all cooked together. I tried to wait for my partners to arrive before I began eating but couldn't leave it any longer as the food was getting cold, and it wasn't piping hot to begin with.
It was made difficult to speak to anyone as there were prolonged periods where there was nobody standing at the front desk, and the staff members were often behind a curtain that led to the kitchen.
This place definitely has potential but from my experience could do with a few improvements to bring it up to a...

I had high hopes after seeing great reviews & colourful pictures of food, but upon walking in it was a very different vibe all together, similar to what other people have said, I waited 20 minutes for appalling food & a watery vile coffee that tasted like almonds (which was advertised as an āartisan pistachio latteā)ā¦
Charging Ā£8.45 for a plate of wilted salad with one piece of toast with avocado on is daylight robbery, the toast my son was served was slathered in margarine for Ā£3.75 also, you can buy 2 loaves for that! I wouldnāt even mind paying that if it was nice but it was sickly š¤¢
The lady serving had no urgency whatsoever, she was doing everything at the slowest possible pace and was preparing and serving one item at a time which is just bizarre.
The beans were cold which we sent to be reheated, we were given no cutlery for our child, we told the lady behind the counter that we werenāt happy with the coffee and she looked through us, with no attempt to rectify any of the issues so we left without finishing anything.
Iāll be honest I didnāt really have Ā£20 to burn this morning to walk out still starving. This business will not survive with staff like that, I hope the owner reads this &...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTLDR Despite being the only people in there, food arrived very slowly. Wouldn't recc the vegetarian breakfast.
Decided to try this spot as it's the only place on Queens Road I haven't been for breakfast. Ordered a Biscoff Latte and the vegetarian breakfast, my partner got a berry smoothie and the breakfast burrito. My latte arrived after 5 minutes, without a spoon - which I realised I needed when I got to the bottom of it and saw just a chunk of what I assume is biscoff only slightly dissolved. Another 5 minutes later my partners berry smoothie arrived (no complaints on the taste of that, it was quite nice).
Then came a 15 minute wait for the food, my vegetarian breakfast came first which just didn't taste good - the chicken substitute was awful and the avocado wasn't seasoned, or was just seasoned badly. There was about another 10 minute wait until my partners breakfast burrito came out (which they said was very nice and did look quite nice).
Overall I just don't recommend unless you're just going...
