Okay so listen up. I walked into this coffee shop expecting to get a cappuccino and maybe a crumb of serotonin. What I didnât expect was to have my life changed by a man named Alexâbarista, philosopher, model, and possibly demigod.
First of all, letâs talk service. You know when they say someone has impeccable manners? I thought that was just a phrase. NO. Alex redefined it. He handed me my coffee like he was presenting the Holy Grail. Eye contact? Flawless. Smile? Toothpaste commercial-worthy. I swear when he asked âOat milk or regular?â I nearly confessed my deepest secrets. This man deserves to have a statue built in his honour, probably out of ethically sourced bamboo and oat foam.
Now⌠the jawline. Iâm not saying his jawline could slice through diamond but I am saying I would trust him to cut my wedding cake with it. If Michelangelo had seen this jaw, David wouldâve been carved differently. The thing had angles, okay? NASA could use it to triangulate satellites. I ordered an espresso, but I got a triple shot of cheekbone structure.
I donât know if the coffee was good or if I was just under the spiritual influence of his presence, but either way, I drank that latte like it was brewed by the gods and stirred by angels.
Honestly, this man needs: â A ÂŁ100/hour pay rise â His own Netflix docuseries: âGrinding Greatness: The Alex Chroniclesâ â A modelling contract with Vogue â National treasure status â Possibly to run for Prime Minister
In conclusion: If you go to this coffee shop and Alex serves you, you will leave reborn. If he isnât working, I advise you to come back later. Or just sit and wait. Meditate. Pray. Manifest. This is not just a barista. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience wrapped in an apron and charisma. MAY HE...
Read moreThis cafe is severely incorrectly marketed. From the cleverly placed âstudy benchesâ by the windows you would assume this is a work friendly cafe with plenty of spaces for people to use their laptops and study, however that is not the case. The only floor that is available for that is the top floor, even when the first floor which has amples of space is empty. We were told we cannot use our laptops on this floor and when asked what we should do because the other places were full we were met with shrugs and apologies. I know the workers are just following rules so I donât blame them, but Iâm seriously so disappointed. This cafe is effectively useless. How can you be situated on Queens Road, student and young person central, and be so stingy with study space. You have completely missed the mark of your demographic and are contributing to an overall lack of study spaces for people in this city. Furthermore, we were very frustrated because I have seen other people on their laptops on the first floor, hence why we did too. I cannot help but feel targetted as a group of visibly Muslim women being prohibited where others have been allowed. Overall, Iâm very disappointed and the owners should reevaluate the rules of their place. Itâs a massive shame considering your food and drink is...
Read moreI recently visited Northern Cobbler (Queens Road, Leicester) and had an amazing experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and friendly smile from the staff (Lilly & Elliot), making me feel right at home. The atmosphere of the shop is cozy and inviting, with a great vibe for both relaxing or getting some work done.
The coffee was exceptionalârich, smooth, and perfectly brewed. I tried the Cortado along with a Bagel and was not disappointed. Itâs clear the baristas are passionate about their craft, as the drink along with the food was not only delicious but beautifully presented.
Lilly went above and beyond to ensure that my visit was enjoyable. They were attentive, quick, and happy to offer recommendations. Itâs refreshing to see a team that genuinely cares about their customers. Plus, the overall cleanliness and attention to detail really stood out.
Iâll definitely be coming back to Northern Cobbler @ Queens Road , and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for great coffee and a...
