Casa Sabrosa — Restaurant in England

Lovely homely place, with very polite and friendly staff. Food was delicious, came hot and plentiful. The tapas dishes were cute and the whole place had a cosy feel, as a group of 8 we were on our own and felt great. Staff were very attentive. Food and drinks were served promptly. When asked politely if the music could be turned down so we could chat, it was done with no fuss. Very friendly staff at the bar and the chef also came out when we sent our compliments. Give 4 stars to Food as some of it was a bit greasy (fried squid) or overpowering cheese sauce (Pollo a la Madrilena - too much sauce, not enough chicken and mushrooms) Still, we will definitely come back again to try the other...

Came for dinner on a weeknight, so was fairly quiet. Staff was really lovely although would sometimes disappear for a bit. Food was nice, we had the patatas bravas, which were good; the steak with mushroom cream sauce, meat was slightly too chewy, so would be nice if they could have it cooked to preference; padron peppers, which were lovely; croquettes, nice (very cheesy which I liked !) and salmon with honey, didn’t really taste the honey and found the salmon quite dry. What a wonderful little place. Called in on the off chance as had heard they did great tapas. They did not disappoint, we tried the 6 dishes from prawns to rump steak in blue cheese sauce and every dish was made fresh and perfectly cooked. We didn't have any pasta or pizzas but others around us did and they looked great too. We will definitely come back and hope more people support this family run business. Northampton has a lot of very poor restaurants but this one is absolutely brilliant. An absolute diamond...
