Delicious Greek Yeeros — Restaurant in England

Please avoid. Ordered with high hopes based of the other reviews but similar to other restaurants in Northampton it is obvious these glowing reviews are from someone in the establishment. Ordered a chicken plate to consist of : salad, chips, bread, chicken and I added haloumi.

Salad - was the main thing on the plate, was ok salad is salad. Chips - more or less raw, to the point the chips were soggy, no crunch no nothing just wet and soggy. Absolutely foul. Bread - “homemade” bread? Honestly reminded me of brown wrap bread you would get from the supermarket. I don’t know if the batch they had was going of but this was item of food that was most on the plate after the salad Chicken - honestly a 5 year old could add more seasoning on that, very lackluster the most it had probably was a little salt. I know Greek food is not heavy on the seasoning but this was an embarrassment honestly. The slim pickings of chicken they gave was actually foul. Haloumi - I couldn’t even tell you what on earth that was, genuinely though it was an eraser on first glance, bit into it and still wasn’t convinced it was not an eraser. I don’t know if it was boiled or what, not a grill mark in sight, the haloumi was white.

If you've grown up in mainland Greece or spend more than a week there, you'd know the πιτα γύρο τυλιχτά, the mezedakia, biftekia, and the rest is authentic greek ψητοπωλείο classics and oh boy they do match them exactly. Literally no complaints about the food. The prices are reasonable considering this is England, so don't be expecting a €1.10 σουβλάκι or €2.30 pitta gyro xoirino. They do delivery and takeaway as well and it's well worth it. I understand they no longer on the takeaway platforms and this probably is a good thing because they can focus on the customers in their restaurant which looks really pretty by the way from outside. I've never actually though eaten in there, only had delivery a few years ago and just recently had another one yesterday. And it's as consistent as it was those years back.

I ordered the meze, mixed meat skewers, pork yeeros wrap, greek salad (authentic) and a coke. I was very satisfied. I just only wished the menu said that'd I'd be two skewers in there, because I would have ordered another one hahaha.

"Best place ever" ... there is no 0 star option. the food is ok, you pay for 5 products, you get 4, you specify I DON'T WANT SAUCE ON A PRODUCT, they put on 2 and the other 2 don't (the 5th product was without sauce), you specify, the meat should be grilled and put separately , not put in "shaorma" they put the meat in "shaorma", you tell them you want the receipt, they tell you: come back in 2 minutes and at the end it brings you the bag of food without receipt ... so ... "the best place to eat ever"... unfortunately I experimented on my wallet, it won't happen again ... at least...
