I had a terrible experience at this restaurant on 04/09/2023. We arrived around 21:15, and the place was quite busy with a birthday party and many other customers. We ordered chicken and egg noodles, half chili chicken, and a plain naan. It took about 20 minutes for the food to arrive, which was reasonable. However, what happened next completely ruined our evening.

As we started eating, one of the staff members kept staring at our table every time he walked by. It was uncomfortable and felt intrusive. Suddenly, he approached us and said that the chili chicken he served was a full portion, even though we had ordered only half. Without any proper explanation or apology, he proceeded to serve two pieces of chicken onto one of our plates and then took the rest away. We didn’t argue with him, but we felt insulted and harassed. This was not our mistake, yet we were treated disrespectfully.

To make matters worse, while we were still eating, they turned off the lights, which felt like a clear signal for us to leave. It was rude and completely uncalled for.

We booked a table for Saturday night and really didn't need to bother as the restaurant only had 3 tables in use and wasn't busy at all. We got sat near the back of the restaurant, almost near the toilets and storage area where they were taking the Deliveroo orders. Hmm, not really a good start. Service was tentative but a little slow. We ordered pre-drinks and some poppadoms which arrived quite quickly. After that we actually thought they had forgotten to come and take our mains order. We had to ask to order. I ordered the chicken bharta and my wife ordered a chicken korma, with pilau rice. Both dishes arrived quickly and was fresh and tasty albeit quite small portions. We were also brought 2 extra poppadoms as they had noticed one of the ones we originally ordered we left as it wasn't cooked. We ordered coffees and the bill at the same time as we knew would have a wait for the bill. They seemed a bit under staffed as the manager was doing everything whilst the chef was also clearing and resetting tables. To sum up, good food, service a bit slow, understaffed and on the night there was more concentration on all the deliveroo orders coming in than the customers in the restaurant.
