I’m only leaving 1 star as you can’t leave 0! I ordered at 20:16, first eta of 20:57 was then pushed back by you to 21:20. Queried at 21:33 to the manager who starts shouting because I dare to ask where my order is? He says everything apart from “Sorry Sir” he was extremely rude, no apology just 100% attitude. He threatened to cancel my order so I saved him a job as he would have probably done that late as well. Order cancelled at 21:45. Complaint made to Hungry House who refunded the money. Note to manager: If you are busy, tell the customer and apply the changes on Hungry House. You should expect people to call you to see where the deliveries are. Poor customer service will cost you more than you realise. It’s evident that your business is in trouble and you can’t cope. So, before you book in to anger management, just know that the reason you are number 286 out of 336 restaurants on Trip Advisor with more "Terrible Reviews" than “Good” or “Excellent”, is probably the same reason you are only 2 stars on Google. The problem is YOU and YOUR attitude to paying customers. Your own poor excuse of a website points customers to independent reviews that tell people to stay away! I had to phone twice to find out how long we would have to wait and got the impression that they had forgotten it. In hindsight it would have been better if they had. When it turned up the starter was greasy, lukewarm and tasteless. However, the main course was a revelation. I didn't think anyone could serve food quite like that and not be prosecuted. I wouldn't have served it to pigs. It looked as if the chicken had been boiled and the sauce was tasteless. I had ordered a medium Thai red curry and my partner a mild one. They both had the same watery, tasteless sauce. The rice was dried out and the vegetables had a pool of oil at the bottom. I phoned and asked for my money back and said they could have the food back. When the driver turned up to collect it he offered me half my money back. When I refused he phoned the manager and I had to argue to get all my money returned. The Egg fried rice has ZERO taste as it is simply just boiled rice (NOT fried) with a tiny bit of egg. The chicken balls are overdone therefore burnt.
Ordered at 19:49, estimated delivery was 20:45, rang for an update at 21:22 and was simply told the driver will be with us in 2 minutes and then they hung up, food eventually arrived at 21:45 and to make it worse the driver didn’t even have the decency to hand the food to me, instead simply left the food on the doorstep, pressed the doorbell and shouted from his car “enjoy the food”.
Not once an apology or any level of customer service from either the restaurant or the driver.
Deliveroo are no use either. They take the order but won’t do anything else.
