My first impression was given by the veg in the display that had gone off. Then when he was preparing my food the chef was blowing his nose and holding the snotty tissue in hand while preparing my food with the other. Not very sanitary especially with covid going around. Should have least gone to the toilets and blown his nose there and then washed his hands. Tbh don't think he should have been preparing food at all if he was sick. I would have walked out had I not already paid. Then when I got my order there was no chips. I asked for them and the woman very rudely held the receipt up to my face as if she thought I was lying but then saw I had indeed paid for chips. I then had to wait for them to be made while my the rest of my food was getting cold. I can't believe she was so rude when it was their mistake. The salad was limp and just about edible. Wouldn't go back there. I have since tried another kebab shop in Brook St which was far better, cleaner and the salad was fresh. I know where I will be...
Read moreMade a big order with a group of friends during the evening of August 9th.
The original estimated wait time was about an hour long which is already insane, but we gave it an additional hour of waiting before ringing up since we had not received our food.
Guy on the phone claimed he had rang us prior, which did not happen. He then claimed a drunk guy answered the phone and the ordered was cancelled. (We are all sober)
After asking if we could have our food, he said they couldn’t because it was close to closing time and they had no food left.
To make it even worse, when asked about a refund the guy on the guy on the phone said we would get it automatically. It is now August 20th and we only just received the refund after one of us rang up the store and had a shouting match with the manager on the 18th.
As a fast food worker, genuinely one of the worst cases of customer service I have ever seen.
TLDR: long wait, no food, bad customer service, no refund for...
Read moreWalked past this place 3 times trying to think of a way we could squeeze in a visit before we headed back to Birmingham. Finally came in for lunch...I've gotta say...this was the best kebab shop I've ever eaten at. Lentil soup for starter which just tasted like home and nostalgia. Grilled chicken, grilled lamb and lamb kofta...perfectly cooked, tender, beautifully seasoned and good quality meat. Even the kebab meat was of superior quality...very fresh and totally delicious. Even the salad - massive selection of beautifully fresh, crispy salad. Add to that the service...warm, friendly, welcoming and genuine...as well as an amazingly cheap price considering the quality of the food just made our experience a wonderful one. We left a generous tip reflecting what we would have gladly paid extra for what we got. Can't praise this place highly enough...5 stars from me and we will be making it our first stop the next time we...
