I had an all day appointment with Bex and can't recommend this place enough. I've followed her work on Instagram for years and finally plucked up the courage to email an enquiry. The replies from Minerva were quick and informative, and I was told she actually had a free day coming up, which I jumped on! I sent my design ideas and waited, Bex is busy so you don't get your sketch until the day before but if you know her work you have an idea what it's going to be and when the email came I wasn't disappointed!

Minerva Lodge itself is a lovely place to get tattooed, everyone is super-enthusiastic and friendly, and put me at ease straight away. I was able to watch TV & chat while Bex worked, and the day went pretty quickly. Bex herself is patient and understanding, she worked really fast and could tell that after about 5 hour mark it was starting to get more intense (had been fine up to then). I wasn't complaining but she just knew, probably from how my body was reacting & experience. She suggested breaks & kept apologising. (No need for apologies, we just had to keep going! She clearly has empathy for those she works on though, so great for first-timers or nervous customers) Another lovely artist, Wik, also chatted and kept me entertained throughout the morning, and seeing her working I recommend her too for different styles. (Bex for bold comic/anime & full colour, Wik for delicate lines & organic/animals)

The finished product was stunning & I can't thank Bex enough. We got through it together. I'd happily make the trip from Leeds when I get another one, I don't know if I trust anyone else as...

This was my first tattoo experience and honestly the process couldn't have been smoother nor friendlier. From the stage of enquiring about my tattoo and the appointment, Rich responded to my email quickly, providing all the information moving forward and how it all works out. If I had any queries or concerns moving forward, I was assured they'd be there to help. I put the deposit down and was given the details for the artist for my tattoo, Boris, to send over the designs and ideas. Boris got back to me with an amazing sketch and we went from there. Then the day arrives. Minerva Lodge is stunning. The aesthetic, the atmosphere and the staff are all so lovely. Everywhere you look has so much personality! I sat and filled out a form and Boris was with me right away with the sketch and we had the final talks before getting started. I felt entirely comfortable during the whole art process. Boris is an amazing artist and the conversations were hilarious as they were interesting. Other artists engaged with us too and Rich made sure I and everyone was okay at points throughout the day.

I couldn't be happier with my tattoo and I wouldn't visit anywhere else now for my future art, not after that experience.

I have wanted a particular flower for a very long time as it has a lot of meaning to me. I knew as soon as I saw Wik’s work she would be the person to do it. She drew me a gorgeous design and really understood everything I explained. She was so friendly and approachable I felt so comfortable with her. The entire process from booking to aftercare was just so good and a massive shout out to Steve also for being so nice and welcoming and easy to talk to. The studio itself is stunning and the nicest one I’ve ever been to it’s designed so nicely and super clean and well looked after. Getting the actual tattoo Wik was so conscious of making sure I was okay which was really appreciated. She also explained my aftercare really well and went to extra efforts to make sure it was super clear to me. The tattoo itself is perfect and the placement of it was so important to me and Wik absolutely nailed it. I am so glad I finally got to go to MLTC and I can’t wait to book...
