This pub is a 5min walk from where me and my partner live in chester. We thought we would go there for a pint one night to check it out. At first we were enjoying the atmosphere and were minding our own business, even planning on coming back regularly. We were half way through our second drink of the evenin.g when the barmaid comes over and tells us we are offending customers and that our behaviour was unacceptable, so that we should stop or leave basically. Throughout our short time in the pub we were quietly chatting away to each other with the occasional peck on the lips because we were happy so I'm a little upset to find it was THAT offensive, there were a group of locals in there playing darts who were sat next to us that even said that the barmaid was being homophobic. So disappointed because before she said anything we genuinely liked this pub. Instead we were made to feel unwanted. Read moreCalled into this pub for just one pint on Saturday , ended up staying the rest of the night for more drinks as the atmosphere is amazing, the staff are amazing here, you can have hilarious banter with the barmaid Dawn, she’s a right laugh really enjoyed spending time here with my mates, prices are really good too and the place as a whole is outstanding, toilets are well looked after and the beer garden is tucked away and really well maintained and a good sun trap, I 100% recommend this pub...

It's a pub with a relaxed atmosphere that still gets lively and busy without getting anywhere close to rowdy on a Friday/Saturday night.
