Downtown Grill — Restaurant in England

Firstly...ignore Gareth Wright reviews. All 3 of them give 1 star, but the plonker ALLEGEDLY keeps going back 🤔

Ordered on the phone and the guy taking the order was fluent in English, so that all went well.

Delivery was to the Emergency Department of Blackpool Victoria Hospital (for staff). This is the ONLY entrance open between 10pm - 6am. However, the delivery driver had a few issues finding it ???

He was extremely polite and apologetic about it, so I'm happy enough not to dock 1☆.

We order 3 x Downtown special kebabs all on Naan bread and all with Chilli sauce. Two with salad and one without. This is EXACTLY what we got.

The Naan was of excellent quality, and the meats (Chicken, Beef & Lamb donner) were absolutely lovely and were demolished promptly.

Now one review mentions greasy : Not a single drop of grease on the wrappers once finished. Never tasted any greasyness whilst eating either.

The salad on my friends kebabs all looked really fresh and edible.

Decent enough prices, so overall I'm very pleased we tried here, and I think we will try the curries next (as wasn't impressed by flavour fusion (Indian) down the road.

I hate to say this as many others have said. wraps and rice boxes contain hardly any meat, I used to use monkeys grill and their portions were massive i believe the two establishments are related, either that or down town has copied monkeys menu and stole their staff . downtown grill was for me 90percent rice, it's a real shame because the foods awesome, I'd pay £10 for a rice box no problem if they loaded it with chicken.. I've been fair and gave them countless chances but everytime it's the same result, no meat.. so I'm not returning, I used to go every Saturday religious since it opened just to add the rice is lovely with the sauce, but if I pay for chicken, I expect some chicken, if the sort this problem I'll...

We ordered from here after much debate and what can I say, our family of four got a delicious and extremely reasonably priced takeaway as we all wanted something different and you catered for all of us, leaving us full to the gunnels and very satisfied!! My extended apologies to the delivery driver as we were not easy to find having stayed in a Local air bnb but she was so polite and courteous when she found us!
