Appalling!!! Down from Birmingham for birthday weekend and decided to eat here as reviews looked good. On arrival, the waitress told us to firstly order drinks before being seated - after asking if we could just sit down to wat as hungry she told us we must pay at bar for the buffet first (never have I paid for food before eating it and I will not make this mistake agsin) we did and sat down. The starter selection was of poor choice, and once seated to eat the food was luke warm. When we went up for the main which I thought would be abit warmer due to curry's being available the selection of food on offer was again very miminal. I am also vegetarian and apart from 2 mushroom options (I don't like myshrooms) I decided to raise my issues with the waitress who said I would need to speak to the manager. The manager came to the table and did not appreciate the concerns I raised with him over the food but said he would accommodate me and make something out back. I requested fried rice and vegetable curry, what came to the table was boiled rice that felt like yesterday's food and a bowl of vegetable curry which I'm sure was just vegetables taken from the buffet and then added to curry sauce and again was luke warm in temperature. I was so unhappy I raised my concerns with the manager, when asking for a refund his response was 'well you've been watched going to the buffet several times - I absolutely had not, I had a small plate of the luke warm starters and then couldn't find anything at the mains hence why I originally complained. He told me that he had accommodated me which again he had not - again luke warm unfried rice with thrown together curry. And that the tills were locked so would not be issuing a refund - but food and drinks were still being paid for. His attitude was so poor. My boyfriend asked if he could just refund my food as this was a birthday meal that had been spoiled (not sure how my boyfriend managed to eat a few platefuls of the food - he didn't want to make a fuss and was just hungry) and the manager was just not having it. I told him poor his customer service skills were and that I would be writing a poor review - he told me to simply 'go on then'. The reason I am so passionate about leaving my reviews about this poor place is that later on that night I vomited all of the vegetable curry up (I am early pregnant also) I dread to think what they did to my 'specially made food out the back'. My I add that my boyfriend who managed to eat a few platefuls of food felt fine. I have never complained about anywhere I've eaten out but this place deserves a special mention and I just hope people do not waste their money here!! I have also contacted food standard agency...
Read moreWe ordered from the restaurant directly the last 2 times because the website address (this was typed on the Chinese New Year complimentary tickets for a free chicken meal with next order) was a security alert. I explained this to the restaurant but they never got back to me. We ordered again yesterday, and the receptionist stated, knowing that we were placing exactly the same order at £34.50, and decided to charge us £3.00 for delivery!! Without saying so either, she just included it in the order most probably thinking I'd not notice. When I questioned her, she said that the Just Eat offer of free delivery over £30 was no longer valid. I told her she was taking the piss and I would order through Just Eat. She said "Good luck with that". We ordered off Just Eat anyway, even though I was angry that I felt they were taking advantage, and the food arrived NOTHING like it had the previous 4 orders. The ribs were small and bone dry and the food wasnt hot. Funny enough, when we did order through Just Eat, the order had a £4.20 DISCOUNT but still charged £2.00 for delivery and £0.50 for service charge. What service?? We aren't eating in the restaurant??? The total order regardless of the delivery charge and service charge was £27.50. Work that out. We will NEVER order from here again and what a shame. For the sake of £3 delivery charge from a couple...
Read moreWe have been here before and enjoyed the excellent value all you can eat lunch. Our friends are not very keen on Chinese and have a bad experience so I treated them to a Birthday buffet to try to change their minds . We were greeted by a very nice and cheerful lady that said we could sit anywhere we were happy with seating our son in his wheelchair. We have many problems with his chair and some make it quite clear that he is not welcome. Today we were carefully seated and extra spoons were supplied with a stack of napkins for Andrew. The Buffet is up another 2 steps but the lady was waiting to help with Andrews chair. We chose our starters from a wide selection and followed up with the mains and finally the desert. Our friends have now been converted to the delights of a Chinese meal and most of all Andrew left with a full tummy and waiving to the delightful staff. Well done The Dragons Kiss. 20/10/2017 Revisited today and had another lovely meal provided by friendly and helpful staff. A real pleasure . I like the decor , you know you are in a Chinese restaurant and not McDonald's. We will go back...
