The Homemade Ice Cream Parlour, located in the heart of Newquay’s town strip, is a delightful spot that offers a wide variety of delectable ice cream flavors, including numerous vegan options. Its central location makes it a convenient stop for anyone exploring the town, and it is well worth the visit for those seeking a refreshing treat and a stone throw away from the local beaches.

Ambiance and Setting The parlour boasts ample indoor and outdoor seating, allowing guests to choose their preferred dining environment. The indoor area is cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed experience. For those who enjoy the fresh air, the outdoor seating offers a charming spot to savor your ice cream while watching the hustle and bustle of the town. However, be cautious of the seagulls, which are known to swoop down in search of unattended treats, lol

Service and Staff We visited the parlour twice in one day, once at 10 a.m. and again at 1 p.m., and found it steadily busy on both occasions. Despite the constant flow of customers in the afternoon, the service was impressively prompt. The two ladies working during our visits were particularly helpful and attentive. They made thoughtful suggestions and were eager to accommodate dietary needs, providing a personalized touch that enhanced our overall experience.

Ice Cream and Vegan Options The standout feature of the parlour is undoubtedly its ice cream. The variety of flavors is extensive, and the quality is exceptional. What sets this parlour apart is its commitment to offering a wide range of vegan options. As someone who appreciates plant-based alternatives, I was thrilled to find so many delicious choices. The vegan ice creams were rich and flavorful, with creamy textures that rival their dairy counterparts. The parlour’s dedication to catering to different dietary preferences is commendable and adds to its appeal.

Conclusion The Homemade Ice Cream Parlour in Newquay is a must-visit for ice cream enthusiasts and those seeking vegan options. With its convenient location, friendly service, and exceptional ice cream, it provides a delightful experience for locals and tourists alike. The efficient and accommodating staff ensure a pleasant visit, even during busy times. Whether you’re in the mood for a classic flavor or something new and vegan, this parlour delivers on taste and quality, making it a top choice for a sweet treat in Newquay. We thoroughly enjoyed our visits and look forward to...

While on holiday in Newquay with the family, I Googled “best ice cream in Newquay Cornwall” and Freddo’s came up.

By total chance, it turned out to be right outside where we were standing. That happy coincidence led to one of the best customer experiences we’ve had in a long time.

When we walked in, I deliberately said to my daughter, “What would you like to pick, birthday girl?” so the owner might hear. He did and immediately handed her a small chocolate bar and said, “Here’s a little birthday treat.” That simple gesture set the tone for something really special.

From that moment, we were treated like regulars or even family. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and completely relaxed. Despite a busy queue, we never felt rushed. He made time to speak to us, introduced himself, made our daughters laugh, and focused his attention on them, not just us as the paying parents. It felt genuine not scripted or forced.

The highlight? They brought out a mini ice cream, popped a candle in it, and sang Happy Birthday to my daughter. It was such a small thing, but it meant everything. We were honestly touched and our daughter was glowing.

What really stood out was how naturally thoughtful everything was. On the wall, there was a simple message that said “We care.” At first glance, it related to their eco-conscious, sustainable business practices but after being served by them, it was clear that “We care” wasn’t just about the environment. It was about people. You could feel it in the way they interacted with everyone.

When I told them they came up when I searched “best ice cream in Newquay Cornwall,” they just smiled and said, “That’s great to hear.” No chasing for reviews, no bragging. Just great people doing things right.

The ice cream itself? Delicious. Definitely better than the one we had the day before though I’m sure the experience made it taste even sweeter.

Even the small stuff was handled with care. Like the sign about using the loo it’s a bit of a walk upstairs, but they’d put a ping pong bat on the wall to take with you as a signal. It made us laugh and showed how much thought they put into making every part of the visit smoother and more enjoyable.

Freddo’s is more than just an ice cream shop. It’s a place that feels good because they care. We’ll 100% be back. Thank you for the kindness...

It is a delightful gem that perfectly encapsulates the essence of a charming ice cream parlor. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted by the warm and friendly staff, who go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Their enthusiasm for the ice cream they serve is contagious, and they are always happy to recommend flavors or let you sample a few.

The interiors of Freddo are equally appealing, featuring a cute, cozy design that invites you to linger. Bright colors and whimsical decor create a cheerful atmosphere, making it the perfect spot to indulge in a treat. The attention to detail in the decor reflects the care they put into their ice cream.

Speaking of ice cream, Freddo offers an impressive range of flavors that highlight the rich taste of Cornish ingredients. The standout for me was undoubtedly the bubble gum flavor—it's an absolute must-try! This vibrant, nostalgic flavor is perfectly balanced, capturing the essence of childhood in every scoop. The ice cream itself is creamy and smooth, showcasing the quality of their homemade approach.

Additionally, the coffee served at Freddo complements the ice cream beautifully, providing a delightful contrast that enhances the overall experience. Whether you’re looking for a refreshing treat on a sunny day or a cozy spot to enjoy a warm beverage, Freddo Homemade Ice Cream is the place to be. With its polite staff, delicious offerings, and inviting atmosphere, it’s an essential stop for anyone...
