UPDATE MAY 2025 Since my last review, the manager offered us a discount for a bottomless brunch but only for 25%. Wasn’t happy with this discount to be honest as we were expecting a free bottomless brunch since our first experience was so horrific. We took the offer and this time round I can say the service improved. We were seated immediately this time. The girl who served us was very quick and thorough, listened to all dietary requirements, and was friendly. The food and drinks were nice and the drinks were flowing this time round. The music was better and we did have a good time. However once we finished our brunch around 9:30/10pm the whole place became vacant, the DJ had left to go next door, and there was practically no one but us there so we ended up leaving to go somewhere else. I have changed my review to a 4 star because the brunch part was much better this time round.
MARCH 2025 - The service was the worst we have received during any bottomless brunch. It was also the worst bottomless brunch we have also been to. The girl with ginger hair and glasses was extremely rude, we had to ask to be served by someone else because of how she was speaking to us and the attitude she had. We were there for a bottomless brunch and the second round of drinks came after 40+ mins. When we arrived we were also waiting for 15 minutes+ to be seated, and had to keep asking if our table was ready, despite having booked a table and paid a deposit online. The food was not good and we left most of it, especially the pizzas as they were burnt and hard. The only semi good thing was the drinks, although some came very watered down. Overall, we wouldn’t recommend coming here and didn’t enjoy the experience and left...
Read moreI like this pub, nice for a game of pool and a drink, although alittle tired... Could do with a spruce up and replacing toilet doors that are missing.
On my last visit I ordered 3 identical rounds whilst there, and notice that I had been charged diffrent, so questioned the bar staff, I was told I had been charge and additional £2. 50 for a gin and Lemonade, because I requested no ice in my Gin and lemonade and ask for a little more lemonade. I was a little taken aback, 1 to be charged £2.50 for 50mls of lemonade and 2. That they didn't tell me they were going to charge me extra. So I asked the 2nd member of staff, I was told it should have only been an extra 30 pence, I asked I I could be refunded, she pointed me on the direction of the manager, who I explained the situation too, he told me I should have been charge an extra £1.. So with the range in price I was rather confused, so I asked if the manager new how much lemonade is in a standard gin and Lemonade and at what point you get charge extra?? He didn't know... Anyway, he apologiesed and I left with no refund and a little confused... Oh and a over priced Gin and Lemonade.. A little more training for the manager and more direction and training required for the staff, I know I was confused and I was the customer just ordering a simple drink.... I'll post a pic of my single gin...
Read moreWaste of time! Went today to watch the British Grand Prix qualifying at 3pm as they advertised as showing it before the football at 5pm. Got in and nothing but tennis on all the screens....... Asked to see it and was told "we normally show football" (helpful). I asked could they put it on anywhere (it's a big venue), they actually did in another area of the building, good stuff, as we weren't bothered about sitting at the main bar anyway. Just at the start of the second part of F1 qualifying the TV was changed to the news..... We asked twice for it to be put back on, and they agreed both times, but it didn't change. Left disappointed and undervalued. Seemed short staffed, had run out of Guinness, and wine was sparse with a lot of white not in the fridge. Won't be back, I can watch the news at home with cold wine and Guinness. School report D minus "Must try...
