Wow, well what can I say........it's been a while pal! I once graced this place and dance floor many many years ago and by the looks of it the place hasn't changed one bit! Still got the sticky floor boards and my god doesn't look like it's been painted or refurbed for years could do with a decent lick of paint! As for the toilets and urinals I'm pretty sure it's the exact same urinal that my mate face planted in after sinking 12 pints of carling darling and 6 sambucas all them years ago! I sunk a couple of shandies today to reminisce and yep you got it still tastes pissy and watered down like the old days but today was a different day and it was a cracker, a lovely place for the Aspire Wrestling Alliance to put a fantastic show on for the people of Derby who showed up in numbers today. I thought the venue was spot on although the wrestlers couldn't get to do there stuff off the top rope due to the limited height restrictions. With food and drinks available at the bar I would say the day was another successful event with atmosphere holding nicely in the building and the Aspire team making good use of the dj box ready to go. I must say the main event was absolute carnage, ironing boards, stop go signs, diverted traffic, ladders, chairs, lego and even a false leg 🦵 made an appearance you just cannot make this stuff up pal incredible! Only disappointment today was I ordered some chips and when they arrived came in a burger box and must have been 20 chips in there altogether and for Ā£3 quid I felt very aggrieved.....someone had my pants down there son! A great day out for all the family! šŸ‘Œ

Best night out in Derby - I know you dont have many options in Derby, but this is just the best! Cheap and fun when you want a little dance, love it! Get there before midnight for free entry and drinks offers. Amazing price drinks and love the cocktails. The giant cocktails are so much fun, and they have lots of special guests and offers.

I visited this place (now called POPWORLD) last Saturday night and paid £5.00 entrance fee. I decided to treat myself and two friends to one of the shots the staff come round selling for an extortionate price of 3 shots for £10.00. I handed over a £20.00 note and the girl refused to give me any change, upon questioning this she tried to accuse me of knocking drinks off the tray, even though there was none knocked over on the tray and no sign of any spillages on the floor !!!! . She then called the bouncer over who took me to the manager. After waiting 30 minutes the manager eventually came over and offered to play the CCTV back. After playing the CCTV back the manager said the footage was not clear and accused me of being drunk even though I had only had two drinks all night!!!! . I found the manager very rude and aggressive and no help at all. Take my advice and give this place...

You should really consider thinking about residents that live next to Pop world and around the area. I hate to ever leave reviews but I am a University student here at Derby and the noise is extremely off putting and loud and it’s a regular occurrence. You have young people chanting like they’re in a football game. Need to step your game up with how many people you’re letting in and if security is actually doing their job as people get drunk out of their minds, and create a ruckus for everyone else. It’s just that for us that have University and work, in the week and weekend, it messes up sleeping schedules and is just not nice to hear that noise. They also aren’t careful when crossing roads and have cars...
