Frog & Toad — Restaurant in England

Came here for some drinks New years Eve before heading to a restaurant for a meal, the pub itself is quite small inside, they have a lovely outside area. The landlord is a lovely man and the lady who served us at the bar was very pleasant and helpful. It's a pub where most people know each other but we were made to feel very welcome. Parking can be tricky due to it being in a controlled parking zone, However, there is a small 2 hour bay. They had music and karaoke the night we visited. We went into the Frog & Toad for a quick pint, and while ordering I saw a sign on the wall that said 'enter as strangers, leave as friends.' I smirked at it, ordered, went into the beer garden, then left the pub three hours later having made friends with three separate people, one of whom was the landlord.

Excellent atmosphere, friendly staff and patrons. Will be visiting again long before I step foot in another shitey...

Proper shabby old no-frills boozer. One of a dying breed well worth preserving as, at the very least they had a decent choice on the cask front.

Service from the young barman was excellent as he apologised for the wait while he finished off a big round (and the landlord seemingly faffed around in the back bar).

Redeeming feature though was the choice of Wantsum and Nelson ales and I went for the Wantsum...
