Golden Bowl - Chinese — Restaurant in England

Absoloutly appaling service. Ordered food just before 8pm and was told it would be delivered at 9.05pm. It did not arrive so requested update to be told it will arrive at 9.35pm, again it didnt arrive so phoned the restaurant and was told our food was on it's way. We live down the road from the restaurant so shouldn't have taken any longer than 5-10 minutes to be delivered. Still waiting for our food 30 minutes later I requested money back off my order online and was contacted by the restaurant to be told our food was delivered to the wrong address and is on it's way but they cant give money back so would have to request through website. I did this and was told they couldn't reach the restaurant and could only offer 5pound credit to my account. I have now recieved a message saying I will not receive any money back due to traffic which I'd believe if we weren't in the middle of a pandemic and is absolutely ridiculous considering your driver completely went off route and we live close by. will definitely not order from...

I cannot testify to the quality of the food, as unfortunately I did not have the chance to try it.

However, after placing an order at 5.40 I was given an estimated arrival time of 7pm. The food did not arrive and at 7.10 I tried to contact the restaurant for an update. This was pointless as they refused to answer the phone.

I then requested an update via just eat and was given a second delivery time of 7.35pm. Again the food did not arrive and again I tried to contact the restaurant to no avail.

At this point I chose to request a refund, their response was that they could not offer me one and that they were sorry that the food was delivered late as that the driver was stuck in heavy traffic(in a pandemic), despite the fact no food had been delivered and that this excuse is a common one, as seen in other reviews.

Fortunately I was able to get a refund through just eat, however I cannot recommend this restaurant, I cannot say whether the food is worth it, but the hassle you may encounter ordering here...

Horror show from start to finish. Ordered 3 meals a portion of rice and two portions of chilli chips picked up the food and one of the meals and a portion of chilli chips were missing, so phoned them back to ask if it could be brought out to us explained what was missing to the angry and very ignorant woman who answered,after 10 minutes of explaining what was missing she decides that we had only ordered one chilli chips and we had only been charged for one i replied ok I will happily pay for the second portion and was told how much. 45 minutes later the driver turns up who seems like a really nice bloke who is used to the incompetence of the angry rude woman who shouts down the phone, I check the food and the chilli chips are missing so I phone back to be told I'm a liar I didn't order any chilli chips by the angry rude incompetent woman.
