The sausage rolls we had were fab, but what else would you expect from Greggs? The cups of tea we had on the other hand were awful. No matter what I tried to get it so that I could actually taste tea failed miserably. It was absolute rubbish. Cheap flavourless tea bags and water that's not hot enough to brew a cup of tea properly? Yes, that's the conclusion we came to. It seems more and more places are concentrating on coffee and the tea is becoming undrinkable.
Also, why does it have to be so cold in there? The, what I shall euphemistically call 'central heating', was blowing cold air to the extent that all of the customers I could see were sitting with their coats on, done up and wearing hats. Now we are well into November and, although mild for the time of year, we do not require cooling down.
In summary I would recommend Greggs for their sausage rolls alone, but take a flask of hot tea and a hot water...

Read moreI've noticed that Greggs has been raising prices while the quality of their food is declining. The pizzas are still great, but who wants to pay almost £2 for a cold pasty? How is it possible to keep pizzas hot but not pasties? It's ridiculous. I went to another bakery and got a hot pasty for less. Make sure to ask if the pasties are warm before buying, unless you don't mind a cold one.
