Food OK. We had the charcuterie board, the prawns (five in the dish for £7.95) and the monkfish scampi (six in the dish for £7.25) ) to share between two as a main meal. We also had a bottle of wine. Total cost just over £45). The charcuterie board had just a few very small slices of stale white bread along with the usual anti-pasti so why they included a small bowl of dipping oil as well is quite beyond me. We asked could we have more bread please and were told this would have to be a 'basket'. This cost £4.25 and was the equivalent of a small piece (half at most) of a baguette. It did though, come with (drum roll) another bowl of dipping oil. Early evening and Hamiltons mostly empty - Babbacombe Inn next door is heaving. For a drink and a quick tapas, OK - tasty. Cannot recommend as a main meal and felt quite ripped off paying £4.25 for a few slices of bread after having already spent over £45. Shocking!! As regular visitors to the area, will not be going to Hamiltons again and...
Read moreWe were salking past and the menu looked really good so we asked if they had availability because we were hungry. The ladies were great in welcoming us. We sat outside and we ordered drinks, 3 starters because I was hungry and the menu was great. We ordered a cheesy pasta for our baby who is 8 months but we asked for it to come out same time as the starter's. The starters came out really quick and the sizes was really good but as the evening got later and we finished eating it was getting a bit cold outside, we asked if we could move indoors. Our mains took 1 hour and 15mins to come out and when they did my steak was over done and it wasn't the best and red wine sauce we couldn't taste it. The cheese on the salad was over powering and the menu didn't mention a cheesy salad. My partners beef curry was also not worth the price and was not of restaurant quality. Would definitely go back JUST for starters...
Read moreWhat a fantastic experience from start to finish!!! My father was visiting on holiday to celebrate his 60th, so I called up the week before, booked him a table and bought a voucher over the phone to pay for the meal. The vouchers arrived on my door step the very next day, in a beautifully presented card, envelope and voucher itself. The place was stunning, with equally stunning views. When my father and his partner arrived they were greeted with a glass of prosecco each on a table with wonderful views. Every dish was well represented and every inch as delicious as the last. The whole team was fantastic and really went above and beyond to make this evening special, including delivering a happy birthday dessert treat! 🤗 Will be recommending far and wide and will most definitely...
