First takeaway from here, at least since back in the day since she was the garden. Sezchuan chicken, onion rings and salt and pepper chips for £16 summat. First of all the worst point, the onion rings, the same generic onion rings you’d get from a kebab shop or supermarket freezer, not the succulent deep fried rings you’d associate with a Chinese. As an onion ring connoisseur I take this as a personal affront. If you’re not bothered about how you take your onion rings then there was at least a good amount of them. For me I have to give 1 star.

Moving on to the salt and pepper chips, very good, at least a 4 in my book, served in a cardboard box with a proper portion, not the child’s portion of salt and pepper chips which you often receive from a Chinese, where there’s half the amount of normal chips , just because they’ve got a bit more chili and seasoning. Good job jacks.

Finally the Szechuan chicken, first time I’ve ever enjoyed such so really have no comparison, essentially a sweet and sour chicken with more spice and no batter on the chicken and a lot of onions. Would I get it again based on this experience ? Maybe, though I’d probably go satay chicken next time. I’ll give it a 3 to a 3.5. Prawn crackers were included, which seems to be rare these days on a meal below £20, I’ll give jacks an extra point for this. Tonight we visited for the 2 nd time , as our last visit was fab , especially the staff a man and a lady maybe the owners I’m not sure but they were so friendly and made our visit so lovely , tonight however the absolute opposite, so disappointed as a meal out for a family with the current cost of living situation is a special thing and a treat which can’t be done often . My family and I had a take away almost two weeks ago. Hard to know what you're ordering as there are no descriptions on the online menu. When ordering they stated they only needed 15mins for collection which is slightly alarming . The noodles were fine ( however we asked for veg and they arrived plain, the chicken balls were really tough (meat), not very nice really. The tofu in black bean sauce had a nice taste but the tofu had an odd batter. Overall it was quite plain, very oily and not worth the rating it has. This wast terrible, just not good...
