Very disappointed. Stopped here the morning I was travelling home after a weekend in Bude as I wanted to get some Pasties to take home. I'm left wondering if I was given the wrong thing as it certainly wasn't like any traditional Cornish pasty I have ever had and I was originally born in Cornwall and spent my life travelling back there so I've had many Pasties. The filling didn't resemble any kind of 'real' meat it was more like processed mush you would expect to find in a supermarket fake pasty. It didn't taste like meat either. The whole filling was just mush squashed together encased in undercooked pastry that was too thick. I don't very often leave bad reviews but it was really bad. Little hidden gem of Bude. Walked in accidentally years ago, my younger daughter really wanted a cake while we were there but as she has dairy intolerance she wasn't allowed they one she wanted. The lady behind the counter asked us to come back 20 mins later and they made her one specially for her which looked the same like the one she wanted but was dairy free 🥰🥰🥰 Been coming back every time we are in the area, you don't get that service anywhere else. After reading the reviews of vegan pasties we were mega excited to try some. The staff were so lovely and friendly but unfortunately the pasties let them down. We tried a Thai red curry pasty and a "cheese" and onion one. The pastry carried the Thai red one through which sadly didn't have the flavour punch you'd expect from a Thai curry, and unfortunately we couldn't eat the cheese and onion.
