We went to Weymouth last week to celebrate my hubby's birthday. And we had simple dinner with this restaurant. The food was great but the service was poor. Is it because we are Asian that’s why we are less priority. Because we didn’t have reservations at the restaurant still I ask the staff if they accept walk-in customers and the staff told us that they would have table available after 30 minutes. So, I told my husband to walk around while waiting for a table to be available. When we came back there was a couple behind me also asking for an available table and also they didn’t have a reservation for that restaurant. However, I came first and asked first for the table before them. To my surprise they gave the table to the couple behind me. Since it was my hubby’s birthday and he only wanted to eat rice for his bday. I insisted to the staff if they can give us table because we had informed earlier that the table would be available in 30 minutes and also saw one table for 2 near the entrance. The staff told us that they will find a table for us. Again I was surprised because the table was close to the toilet and also we noticed that they gave complimentary treats to all the guests apart from us. So we were just waiting for our food...

Dine in experience for five people. We arrived just after opening we were greated by a nice waiter , we were asked if we booked but hadn't , this wasn't a problem and we were shown to a suitable table.

The atmosphere is nice , basic decor but that's not why we were there. Service is great , there were about 12 people including us so no reason to be neglected.

The menu is huge , so so many choices but we all stuck to the dish combo we wanted.

The set menus themselves are fantastic value if you go down that route with lots of dishes on each set

All of us were happy with our meals , portions are good , I've had way less at the same cost in other places near me.

Having seen the negatives about takeaway I can say the dine in was great , our food was tasty .

The bill broke down to around £20 each for two main and side dishes with drinks but going back , those set menus offer more for really only a little extra

We didn't eat pudding but certainly enjoyed our mains .

These is a lot of choice on the menu so definitely something...

We visited as a group of 4 adults and all commented that the food was very tasty. We weren't t sure what to expect because we knew that the original owner had moved on and we has recently seen a few negative comments on Facebook. So we were all pleasantly surprised when we found that the food and service were all great! Sometimes I find with Chinese food that it doesn't fill me up but this wasn't the case. There were so many original vegetarian options to chose from that I could personally visit all week long and not get bored lol Prices seemed reasonable too, worked out at £30 a head including a drink each . I think the last time I visited here was about 30 years ago and in all honesty I had pretty much forgotten about the place! It's firmly back on my map now and I think next time i want to eat out I might bring the family n kids - the chopsticks and fortune cookies will go down...

Generally fine food, well presented, a little pricey. We over-ordered on the rice by a long way. It would have been nice if the waiter had indicated this at the time of ordering. The satay sauce was tasty and slightly spicy, some of the best satay I’ve had. My egg fried rice was a little too sticky but still tasty. The ginger sauce with my chicken lacked flavour and punch. The restaurant had nice decor too. Unfortunately we were sitting near to a big pile of Just Eat boxes which maybe could have been kept at the back somewhere out of sight. The staff were friendly and made us feel welcome.

This is an online order. Terrible noodles, too much oil, no flavour, no taste, COLD as it was just taken out of a refrigerator. worst pineapple fritters I have had the misfortune to eat! not sure if it was really pineapple or something else instead. the oil in both items combined will suffice an entire household for a week. ended up with a bad stomach next morning. Am I surprised? nope. and you shouldn't be if this happens with you. remember folks you first heard it from here. never ordering again from Ming "Wah"tever.

Opted for Chinese for our evening meal this place was amazing. Quite busy which is always a good sign. Vegetable spring rolls, steamed scallops and prawns for starters. Vegetable curry, Ming wahs special and boiled rice for mains and a bowl of curry sauce. The Ming wahs special was a sizzling dish on a cast iron dish which was a bonus. There was so much food we couldn’t finish it all which was a shame as it was so tasty.
