One of the worst dining experiences we’ve had. We picked this restaurant because it was advertised online as having a kids’ play area, which turned out to be false. When we asked the waitress for colouring sheets or even plain paper and pencils, she bluntly said no and walked away. My partner had to go to a nearby pound shop to buy some things to keep the children busy. Ten minutes later, the waitress brought freshly printed colouring pages to another table. When I asked if we could have some as well, she reluctantly gave one sheet per child and said she would give the rest to other tables first. She never returned and we never got any pens or pencils. For family-friendliness, I would give this place zero stars. The food was just as bad. Three of us ordered the Sunday roast with beef. Instead of telling us they had run out, they tried to stretch what little was left across three plates. Each of us got just two tiny slices of beef, barely the size of a drinks coaster. The roast potatoes were rock hard and had a horrible smell, clearly from being cooked in old oil that must have been sitting for days. It was insulting. Another meal, a bacon and cheese burger was served with a bun that looked stale and like it had been taken from back of a shelf. When the waiter asked if everything was alright, I said “so-so,” expecting at least a follow-up. Instead, he just turned and walked away. Both the food and the service deserve zero stars. To make the experience even worse, while we were still eating, the waiter put a board on our table saying the table was reserved from 4 pm and we had to leave by 3.30 pm. I was speechless. As paying customers, we should never be told to cut short our meal. If I choose to stay until 7 pm, continuing to order food and drinks, that should be my decision – not theirs. It was rude, unprofessional, and unacceptable. This place is a disgrace to the Greene King chain. The food portions were ridiculous, the service was dismissive, and families are clearly not welcome. I would never return, and I genuinely do not understand how this restaurant has managed to achieve a four-star rating.

Went here for a quick bite whilst on holiday in Weymouth. Several of the items on the menu weren’t available, which wasn’t too much of an issue. We were served by a lovely lady who told us when we ordered a child’s pizza with garlic bread and vegetable sticks that we could have the garlic bread OR the vegetables. This quite simply is not what the menu said. I pointed this out and she kindly amended our order and told us her boss had instructed her not to do both. She then came back out to our table a few minutes later to tell me that she’d spoken to the chef and he said I’d read the menu incorrectly. I hadn’t ! Not wanting to cause a scene we took the vegetable sticks. However, the more I think about it the more it annoys me! We spent £70 on food and drinks so even if I had misread the menu, the cost of a few slices of garlic bread and some carrot and cucumber is hardly going to bankrupt the place. It’s a lack of basic customer service at its core and if I were you I’d give this place a miss. Also the food left a lot to be desired.

I was walking in the Weymouth with my family to get a dinner, most of the places were closed around, so came across this pub. There were open places outside, but all tables were busy so sat indoor. Children were allowed. Interior was of standard British style. The restaurant sitting area was not crowded, no smoking smell. Food came quickly, good quality fish and chips and chicken meat pie. Prices were also very pleasant. COVID precautions: you need to register for a tracker sending sms, tables at good distance from each other, there is sanitizer at the entrance, tables are being cleaned. But not all personnel was wearing masks. Overall, liked the experience.

I are out at the White Hart last night whilst working away for the week with s colleague. We ordered a starter each and a main each. The pub itself was dead, maybe around 5-6 people in who I assumed to be locals as they were s just sat there with pints. We placed our orders, A portion of chicken wings each A 10 Oz rib eye And a burger meal

The starters took around 40 minutes to come out, and we was not told there was any sort of wait for food. The chicken wings were 4.99 for 6 wings, which is a terrible price for the amount you get, they had been well and truly over cooked to the point that the skin on them was like glass. Shiny, greasy and unpleasant. We quickly ate these dry, tasteless wings and waited for our mains which took another 15 minutes to come.

My steak, which I ordered rare was cooked to within an inch of its life, it was without a doubt the most well-done steak I'd ever seen in my life. The chips were warm on the outside and cold and uncooked in the middle.

My work friends burger was and in his words I quote "Like someone slapped dogfood in burger and just pushed it out"

I made a complaint that my steak wasn't what I asked for and the young lad was more than happy to take it back to sort the issue. My plate come back, maybe 2 minutes after with a fresh steak, which was not a rib eye, it was clearly a rump and half of it consisted of uncooked fat. I know I said rare, but when you order a rare steak you don't expect to receive something of this standard. The outside flesh was still link in parts, the fat - which made up half of its mass was cold, slimy and unpleasant. I ate maybe one or two cuts of meat and pushed my plate to the side.

We left our meals, not even half eaten and just went back to out hotel rooms for the night as we couldn't be bothered with the hassle of finding food that late in to the evening.

If I could rate it 0/5 I would...

Well where to start. Shocking and a total let down. Attended the pub for a family meal when we ordered we were informed of a 40 minute wait for food as the pub was slightly busy this seemed reasonable long but reasonable. However this is where things change After ordering the food we have ordered drink to be informed that one of the ales was not in stock which was out of stock 3 days earlier when we attended for a drink. We have then tried ordering the rest of our drinks where we we then informed that there was not any coke lemonade or and other drinks that couldn't be taken from a bottle. So a hour after ordering I have attended the bar to ask where our food was as we had a child with us and also someone with dietry needs. They informed me that it was being plated up. On returning to the table this clearly wasn't the case as a table not to far from us who had 3 more people in there group was given their meal and then another table of 4. We have then finally received our meal 15 minutes later with the chips being hard and undercooked. The pasta meal missing items and the peppers undercooked and the chicken so over cooked it seemed like it had just been on a 2 week trip to the sun oh and missing the garlic bread. We were only offered a complimentary drink for this and when the waitress walked past and asked how our food was as we started to raise issue she continued to walk off and smilled. Once again as I started this review shocking and a total let down.oh and also put one star as it wouldn't allow me to post without as...
