I'm surprised this place is still in business as their customer service is appalling to non existent. We returned today following a long absence following previous issues with their customer service, we decided to give it another go against my better judgement. We got our order in without any fuss which was a good start however, my wife forgot to ask for Brown Toast, most places these days usually ask whilst ordering but hey ho, this place is definitely different and not in a good way. Upon realising that there was a possibility of getting White Toast my wife to ask if it could be changed. The young lad behind the counter said in no uncertain terms no. When the meal arrived my wife asked to swap again and the same chap took the plate back after placing the Hash Browns on the table with his hands (very hygienic) when I looked at him in horror he said that the table was clean. I really couldn't believe what I was seeing and he shouted over the entire cafe to me "what are you looking at?" in a really aggressive manner. I replied, we are customers, then all the male contingent thought they would put their two pence worth in claiming we were wrong for not asking for the Brown Toast. As I said earlier, most customer focused places would ask that simple question however, this place feeds off controversy. Personally, I would rename the place to Fawlty Towers as they have so much in common. Really hope they go out...
Read moreI visited north bay cafe when I went to see my son and my new baby grandson and his partner. It was the closest cafe to their flat on the main road. It was about 3:30pm and me and my partner and my 2 aunties went in. On first impressions it needs some tlc and a good clean, slug trails on the floor . But I love a greasy spoon, I'm from Yorkshire, me and my auntie orfered 2 butties, I had bacon egg and tomato and it was gorgeous, the bacon and egg was great, tomato 🍅 are what they are. My auntie had bacon and mushroom and loved hers. My other auntie who's posh wasn't going to eat anything but enjoyed her cheese and onion toastie. My partner just had a Dr peppers as she's stuck up too 😂. The staff was lovely and helpful, the owner just sat their singing along to dance music and we thanked him after and his staff. The toilets wasn't the best but if you like an all day breakfast, especially a big breakfast for under a tenner or a small breakfast for under 4 quid you can't complain at all. I have seen other reviews that are negative and also positive. Mine was positive, my bacon egg and tomato...
Read moreVisited this place this morning and it smelt of pee (which is why I think the side door was left open) and none of the tables had been cleaned from the day before and it had not been hovered up from the day before either, it's not hygienic at all especially when they allow dogs in and people suffer allergys. When we asked for the table to be cleaned the lady did it no problem but then went back to serve another customers drinks without washing there hands and same after they had been out for a smoke. Also the cook was singing loud while he was cooking good that he was happy but this put us off ordering any breakfast we went elsewhere instead. The lady in there was polite and friendly with the dogs. Definitely won't be returning, I wouldn't...
