Extremely slow service, been here twice now and each time they have taken at least 45 minutes. Booked today over the phone at 10 this morning and got a booking for 1pm. Got sat after waiting for a good 5-10 minutes of no one saying anything to us. Lots of staff but nothing really seeming to be done. Manager? was filling up carvery in an outside jacket and no food service gloves. Hardly anyone went over from other tables but quite a few came in and had takeout carvery. Called manager over after waiting for over three quarters of an hour, he said that we were next (no apology mind you) but I said that was not the point and that we had not even had the courtesy of someone explaining what was happening. He then went on to say so you want a refund and really did not give a damn. When we got our refund from one of the servers she apologised and said that there were a lot of pre-booked take out carvery a and that they had just had one of their chefs quit on Thursday. I didnt reply to this but whether or not they have anyone is the kitchen is beside the point. There was no communication to us at all. If we had had someone come over to our table and say look we are really sorry but service is going to be a bit slow today, we could have made the decision to stay or not. Omg where do I start staff was very friendly and as I was stood there waiting to be served they appoligized cause they needed to do something quick and it was a bit busy not one member of staff was sat down doing nothing all very happy and smiley not only upon arrive but for the whole time I was there food was amazing and just the right portion prices is very reasonable and would deffo come back here again I have a baby and he was screaming where he not long had jabs but no-one was I liked up and down very calming...

We arrived at 1:50 and we were told the kitchen closed at 2 but everything closes at 2:30.
We proceeded to order our food, which was alright.
The staff were hovering around our table. With one member of staff even taking my wife’s pint of coke off the table when it was half full. This all made us feel very rushed, unwanted and unable to enjoy our meal.
Then staff openly complaining about customers.
