Disappointing first time experience visiting this restaurant, we attended as a group of 4, 3 of us ordered starters, 2 of the starters came after a reasonable wait and I advised those eating to make a start as mine would be along soon, the two who had starters had finished and were wondering where my starter was, after querying this with the waitress I was advised that it had gone "through the machine" incorrectly as a main, even though they already had 4 mains noted down as well for a party of 4, when I eventually received my starter the waitress decided to comment "better late than never" not exactly an apology. We were also provided with a jug of water when we got to the restaurant that had cucumber in it, not being a lover of cucumber I asked for a jug without and was advised they would get one, I had to ask again before this was forthcoming as well. When the mains arrived I had ordered the crispy belly pork, now I am not sure if this had already been cooked and was under a warmer of some kind whilst I was eventually getting my starter but the crispy skin was so solid I could not cut or eat it, also the accompaniments included a Bubble and Squeak Cake, the menu made no reference to this being riddled with garlic which again I do not like so I was also unable to eat this. I guess they only positive note to make was that they decided not to charge me for the late starter. All in all, despite the other excellent reviews, I have to say the poor service will put me off ever...

Wow. What amazing service and such a lovely team. So accommodating especially as we dined with our baby. She was given her own plastic cutlery and despite not having a specific kids menu, we were advised they could make her anything adapted from the menu. We had a slight issue with one of our meals but it was resolved in such a timely manner and the team were so great about it, getting us a round of drinks whilst we waited which we really were not expecting but were extremely grateful for. The food was exceptional! Both courses tasting delicious. The staff were extremely attentive and we couldn’t thank them more. An absolutely lovely Saturday evening spent in a great local restaurant. Would recommend to anyone and will definitely be back. Thank you to everyone...

What an outstanding establishment... and owner!

In September we hired Phoebe's upstairs dining area for our wedding buffet/meal, and honestly, I cannot thank Phoebe and her team enough. Phoebe herself has a can do attitude and was such a delight to communicate with when organising the menu. Nothing was a problem for her and she went out of her way to make sure everything was up to perfection standard. She went above and behind what the average person would do. The food was absolutely incredible, quality ingredients and amazing menu ideas. I can see why this place has been awarded 'Restaurant of the year'.... Because it actually is the best around!

Thank you so much Phoebe and your team. We will be recommending your place...

Haven't been to Skipton for a while, so checked out Google reviews for a decent breakfast/brunch, and Phoebe's stood out, so booked online to ensure a table. Griendly welcome and a nice contemporary setting in what was last time I visited a Wedding dress shop. Seated quickly and menus handed out, asked for some recommendations and we after some delibation settled on a Everything Brioche and the Smashed Avo and eggs with halloumi. Excellent service and delicous quality food. Delicious coffee too. Lots of menu choice so would definitely visit again when next in the area. A few people were turned away so Id recommend booking to avoid disappointment.

Had a lunch here, it was fairly quiet and we were greeted at the door and immediately offered anywhere we wanted to sit. Two young men then served us and both were very attentive, cheerful and helpful. The food is very very good. I had mushroom bagel and substituted for a slice of sourdough which I would have preferred a bit more toasted but that is nitpicking because there was nothing else to fault, skilled chefs producing delicious food. Even the salad tasty lovely with a hint of orange in the dressing. Also highly rated by my friend who had the dirty fries without chorizo.

The Full English Breakfast was lovely - eggs, whichever way you'd like, bacon, sausages, hash browns, mushroom, tomatoes and slice of toast. Coffee was good. The pastries (to go) are the best we've had, especially with respect to perfect lamination and bite (baking), for absolutely ages. Definitely on the revisit list. Which we did, within the week, and first thing, for a takeaway on a canal narrow boat day trip. The Full English Breakfast was as good. We had the Cronut very late in the evening. Again, the pastry was perfect. Definitely recommended for a memorable treat.
