PizzaExpress — Restaurant in England

Pretty bad experience here a couple of weeks ago during a weekday lunch. It was very quiet, only about 3 tables in during peak lunchtime so the atmosphere was pretty flat, but wasn't too concerned as was expecting my usual experience with the food ( I usually go to the didsbury branch which is consistently good) ..unfortunately the food was pretty terrible. We had dough balls which literally were like dough. Uncooked goop, definitely under done.. we didn't say anything about this bit didn't eat them mains came, I had chicken salad which was tastless and the chicken sooo dry. The worst was the pizza which again was like undercooked dough. At this point we mentioned this to the waiter who apologised and said they had a problem with the oven, it was either cooking too high or too low temperature!?? He did kindly take it off the bill however as it was inedible. The girl cooking seemed not very enthusiastic and this was clear in her dishes. Thrown together salad, and undercooked dough. Pretty bad overall and unfortunately I won't be back to this branch. I will say our waiter( possibly manager?) was very good however and even offered us a free desert, which we declined as just wanted to go...

APPALING! I placed an order for delivery through the Pizza Express app, and unfortunately, the entire ordeal has left me highly dissatisfied. Firstly, I must highlight the issue of the food arriving cold. I had ordered a variety of items from your menu, totalling £45 pounds. However, upon opening the delivery, it was evident that the food was cold. The pizza was lukewarm and the sides were barely warm. As a result, my family and I were unable to enjoy the meal as we had anticipated, and the experience was far from the high standards we associate with Pizza Express. Furthermore, when the delivery person arrived, he informed me that he had been waiting for almost an hour before receiving the order to deliver. While I understand that unforeseen circumstances can occur, such as heavy traffic or a high volume of orders, it is unacceptable that the food was not delivered promptly. Walked in to the restaurant to be ignored by the staff. After waiting for 5 minutes to be seated, we decided to just find our own table. Waited another 5 minutes for someone to bring us our menus. Very soon after they took our drinks order, then food order. Starter (sharer plate) was very nice and the wait wasn't too bad. It took some time for someone to come and remove the plate. Another OK wait for 2 of the main courses, but we were at least half way through them before the remaining main arrived. Food was OK. Plates were eventually cleared & desserts ordered. They arrived quickly and were fine. Had to speak to 3 members of staff to get the bill brought to us (around 15 minute wait) then half way through paying, the team member disappeared for another 5 minutes. Bill was incorrect on 3 occasions. Not a good experience at all and I will not be returning to that branch. The staff could maybe do with attending other branches...
